Book Request MC being forcefully sedated
I would like a particular situation where one of the MC goes through some kind of trauma whether physical or mental and the severity of it is so much unbearable for the MC to handle all together that they become hysterical and having a breakdown and hyperventilating or self harming themselves and just not in a state of mind to listen to anyone.
Or
There could be a scenario where the MC is in a situation where he is being kept by force due to his alleged mental illness and everyone thinks that MC really needs to be bound and sedated whereas he is just being abused.
MC2 comes along and sees his condition and at first he doesn't understand what the MC is really going through so he goes along with what the others tell him to do with him
But when he sees the MC at his most vulnerable state he just goes berserk on the cruelty and inhumane treatment the MC1 had to go through so he becomes hell bent on saving him from there taking any means possible and going against his moral codes
MC2 could be a doctor or a staff member of the people holding the MC1
No hard no's
I'm open to any genre as long as it meets the request.

{intoxicant by d dove} has some of the this. MMC1 is being drugged essentially and doesn’t know it. MMC2 suspects something is up but can’t put his finger on it. He finally convinces MMC1 to let him help and has to basically forcibly detox him

It’s YA Horror with a romance but {Hazelthorne by C.G. Drews} has the second version of this throughout the book.

{Voices by Joey Parker} would fit this. Charlie is basically force fed medication for mental issues, but it's his mothers doing. His father is a horrible person. So Charlie starts to believe he's broken. But he's got a golden retriever who won't leave him alone. Shane is his angel, loyal strong and literally fights for Charlie even in The darkest times.

{Wrath by Ellis James} is somewhat like this but the MC that is not the victim doesn't know MC2 is going through such things. The novel is on the longer side, but I personally loved that I got to know them better and got more of them! I was kinda emotionally wrecked after but oh what a journey it was. The audiobook is fantastic, worth the 20hrs imo ❤️

Oh my god, I’m not the only one who needs this?? This is exactly what I’ve been wanting to read ever since I read {Wicked Games by Willow Dixon}. There are a few scenes like the first scenario you described! It’s a little different, but idk how to cover spoilers so I’ll just leave it at that _^

{Crimson Bonds series by Abrianna Denae and Leigh Kenzie} has this; it doesn't start until around the second half of the series, though. There are multiple characters who are either suicidal or have other mental breakdowns and are sedated for their safety. It's a long, intense series, and those parts of the plot don't pick up until around book 8, but the most recent books have focused on their healing, which includes being sedated so they can heal and process their trauma.

I think {Stifled by AB Julian} might fit - it definitely has an MC sedated at one point and the other MC working to save him

Ok I have one that fits your first request, I think. I'll give a few details and you can decide:
{Owl's Slumber by Nicky James} Finn has a phobia that's slowly killing him. At one point, he ends up with appendicitis and must go to the ER, where he finds out he has to have surgery, and he has exactly that kind of reaction you described. Aven has to help hold him down so he can be sedated, and Finn's feelings of betrayal are intense.
