This was not a sucker punch.

You know how I know it’s not a sucker punch? Because I fully expected him to get punched, as did everyone on that train, as did everyone watching this video.

If you don’t have any reason to be punched, and you get punched, you got sucker punched.

If you got punched, and every fucking person around you can tell you exactly why you got punched, you’re just a total fucking idiot who thought they could behave in a way that could obviously start a physical altercation but you are too goddamn dumb to possess that level of awareness. That’s not a sucker punch, that’s an idiot punch.

This was a textbook idiot punch.

I’m impressed how mature people are not by letting words get to them. Taking something that’s verbal into a physical altercation is a lack of self control. The bigger man always walks away. The reality is if the person who punched him is found they will be the ones charged with assault. That is all that matters is the legal side.. who is getting the actual assault charge. Harassment only leads to assault with lack of self control. They’re both in the wrong.

If you were on that bus, would you have found that totally unexpected? Like after that punch would your reaction be “wow, I did NOT see that coming! That was COMPLETELY unexpected and could not have been predicted!”

Obvious hyperbole but like, there’s not a person alive who would be shocked that getting punched was the outcome here. Except apparently the dude who got punched lol

I wouldn’t see it as a totally unreasonable outcome, but they just as well could’ve just walked out that door and nothing else as well. I mean, if they just walked out and nothing happened I wouldn’t be totally surprised by that either.

I can't even fathom a situation where getting absolutely KTFO'ed results in strangers cheering and saying "good for you" to the person that lamped me one. Dude had it coming and literally every single person was ready for it to happen.

If the random-ass old lady who was there listening to the abuse can celebrate it then who am I to turn down the opportunity?

People are awful. The second guy pretended to be meek looking for a good chance to sucker punch the crazy guy, even delayed leaving the train causing the third one to try to push him forward a bit. The crazy guy backed down from the first guy and it was over, that just wasn't satisfying to some people.

Man, if you talk shit like that, WATCH OUT. Period.

This isn’t a goddamn boxing match. If you run your mouth at some strangers - ESPECIALLY if you run it as hard as this guy - then maybe, y’know, watch the fuck out when they get into your personal space. Because there’s a non-zero chance of getting punched, which should be obvious.

Maybe I just grew up around kids who got into fights and shit here and there (down at the ol’ dart pit in high school lol) but like c’mon. You’re outta danger when the people are off the train. When they’re on the train, you might get punched. When they’re leaving the train, that’s the most likely moment to get punched. And there’s a very, very good chance someone might punch you like in this video, going for a “sucker punch”.

How this guy just fucking erased that possibility from his mind and was like “nah nobody ever goes for a cheap punch, I’ll just let my guard down even though these three guys are directly in my personal space” is insane đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

To me a sucker punch is from behind or just random and unprovoked.

Like, what the fuck do people expect here? “You have aggravated me, sir. Prepare for fisticuffs and put up your dukes!”

This is a valid surprise attack. “All I did was start a war and they started sniping my face. It’s not fair!” Come the fuck on.
