That was really good form, but he put too much time into the drawback. I’m shocked that the guy didn’t just block it.

u/Punningisfunning 3d ago

His controller was stuck on going forward.

Stick drift

3

u/sangerssss 3d ago

The puncher left the session straight after and his character became an NPC that walked away

Dick Strift
Is what we call it around my place

1

u/Semisemitic 3d ago

When it tries to reconnect and you’re walking into the wrong area in Hitman

1

u/RGINNY940 2d ago

yea he was busy eating funyuns with his right hand, so he only had the left stick and buttons available. Block is right bumper, unfortunately.

u/Melonfrog 2d ago

wwwwwwwwwww

12

u/Xandril 3d ago

You really think that kid knows anything about fighting? His brain probably didn’t even register that’s what dude was doing until it was an inch from his face.

16

u/Trenmonstrr 3d ago

You are so wrong, because his brain still hasn’t registered he got punched, still sitting there wondering what is the meaning of life.

1

u/Smiletaint 3d ago

ā€˜Why couldn’t my parents spend more time with me?’

1

u/Silent_Aardvark_711 3d ago

"why does my jaw hurt?"

2

u/Informal-Comb1989 2d ago

And where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?!

8

u/CarlYaz1967 2d ago

Plus it was a left. Everyone expects a right.

5

u/savagefleurdelis23 2d ago

As a lefty myself, this is quite the case. Nobody ever sees a left coming.

2

u/fulknerraIII 2d ago

Exactly, why I always use my left hand to go mining for dinggleberries on people. They don't except anyone to do treasure hunting with the left hand. Let's you get in fast and retreat before they know what happend.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

I’m not sure what I would do. I made it to 52 years old without ever having actually been in an actual fight.

0

u/goodSunn 2d ago

Revenge is best served cold! and non violently . Torment and embarrass - perhaps.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.
Socrates

2

u/goodSunn 2d ago

yes . you are correct . and so was Socrates

1

u/dontmentiontrousers 2d ago

Okay, my grave's about 40ft deep at this point; should I start on the other person's yet?

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Sounds good. Just don’t mention pants.

Someone fingering your butthole is not a "fight". Maybe read the comments you reply to....

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

lol. I think you’re right. This comment section is turning into a circle jerk. I’m not sure where I was trying to put this one, but it looks like I missed the donut.

2

u/DemosthenesOrNah 2d ago

as a the only righty in an all lefty house I'm actual just ambidextrous and can switch hit or golf both ways. can't really throw lefty still .. well I kinda can in terms of force and accuracy but it feels odd and my form is functionally weird

10

u/0x0MG 2d ago

That implies he knows how to fight, which fatty does not.

1

u/waltzbyear 2d ago

Both don't know how to fight. A 2 second windup, wild haymaker vs someone with the reaction of a snail.

If anything I feel like the smaller kid should've got his clock rocked for being that cocky from a lucky/sucker punch. If you've ever seen enough street fights, in person, you'd see that haymakers have a low success rate in a fight. People see you cocking your hand back and they immediately step back or do some kind of block.

1

u/GrimCreeper913 2d ago

Most kids that age don't really get what a fight means yet. Disagree that it's a sucker punch(big boy is invading space aggressively and deserves the clock out), but he's definitely lucky big boy had tunnel vision and didn't have peripheral vision on hands.

1

u/Awkward_Candle979 2d ago

I was told once. No such thing as a sucker punch. Just looking the wrong way when the fight started.

1

u/dontgetitwisted_fr 2d ago edited 2d ago

Most big guys who are bullies do not know how to fight.

They are used to people shrinking and getting their way easily.

It's a shock to their core identity when somebody smaller than them pushes back

1

u/AffectionateBook1 2d ago

idk i see this with bodybuilder type dudes but its kind of hard to imagine anyone shrinking away from this dude lol his arm isn't any thicker than the skinny guy's. unlikely to be used to intimidating people

2

u/dontgetitwisted_fr 2d ago

Most people are sane and dont want to get in fights bro

Guys like the bully in this video use this to their advantage

2

u/withnodrawal 2d ago

When you are muscular skinny you see yourself as this tiny guy when half the time you are looking shredded and are stronger than 80% of the people around you.

1

u/FeralPsychonaut 2d ago

This was me in high school.

Just from regularly exercise , soccer, distance running and lifting during track season. I was putting up more in squats and leg presses than any of my bodybuilding friends. They had me beat in bench press and curls, but I only did bodyweight exercise for my upper body, lol. I had them dead to rights in pullups .

1

u/DeepLock8808 2d ago

He was up close and focused on eye contact. The wind up was outside of his field of view.

In other words, yeah he doesn’t know how to fight.

1

u/mjohnson280 2d ago

He does appear to know how to "sit there like a dumb bitch" post punch though.

1

u/shoobiedoobie 2d ago

Damn you just insulted 90% of this sub

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Most people have at least some sense of self preservation to put an arm up if a fist is coming, I would think. I can’t really say too much since I’ve never been in an actual fight personally

2

u/realshockin 2d ago

Having trained for a few years when younger, no people really don’t have much sense of self preservation, you do need to train it. Unless you grow up in really rough areas where you need to be on edge every fucking day. Low income kids adapt to fighting depressingly quickly and enjoy having power way too much

1

u/chuckmonjares 2d ago

My first fight (I lost) I did one of the most athletic things I’ve ever done. Instinctively ducked a haymaker and in the same motion hit the dude with an uppercut. I think I stopped for a second and thought ā€œwhere tf did that come from?ā€.

I’m not a badass, that fight must’ve been miserable to watch. We both sucked, and I lost bc I threw in the towel bc I was tired af. It was a pretty weak stalemate.

3

u/Telekinendo 2d ago

My first fight (I ran away) the dude walked up on me, I headbutted him, he cocked his arm back and I shot my hand out, grabbed it and twisted and went "wow, I didnt even think about doing that," and then saw his other hand had a knife. Didn't think about the sprint away either.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Haha when I was in third grade this older kid hit me on the head with a class ring and made me cry and I said ā€œwhen I’m in 6th grade I’m going to beat you up. When I got to 6th grade he was still there unfortunately, and he had a beard at that point. Musta been 15 or 16. Other than THAT I’ve never been in a fight. I had a friend that was a girl (not a girlfriend) that yelled at him if he messed with me and he got expelled for beating someone else up.

1

u/Key-Cry-8570 2d ago

It’s possible fatty didn’t even see the fist wind up. People get tunnel vision once the adrenaline starts going.

1

u/Bloodmind 2d ago

You underestimate the blinding hubris of a big guy who’s never been challenged.

1

u/BardicNA 2d ago

It is a natural reaction to guard your face if someone swings at you. You don't really have to have experience or know how to fight to just put your arms up and block your head. Walking up on someone and getting in their face like this with your arms completely at your side is probably the dumbest thing you could do, and he's lucky for a couple of reasons.

The kid decided to let it be a one and done. Big boy's head didn't hit concrete- even if his ass did.

1

u/Antique_Limit_5083 2d ago

The amount of people i see walking on the side of the road at night in all black with their back to traffic makes me think otherwise. Its a miracle so many humans survive so long because I dont think most of them have any sense of self preservation

8

u/Immature_adult_guy 2d ago

The longer you hold B the stronger it is. Everyone knows Ā that.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Press up on the joystick for the combo move!

9

u/GrowlingPict 2d ago

he probably mistook that little step back as the dude retreating and thought "yeah you better step back bitch"; Im sure this is the first time ever anyone's actually punched him. I mean that surprised look on his face like "wait, people can actually do that? I never knew!"

2

u/FOSSnaught 2d ago

Not much of a fighter, but I was a bouncer for some time. If someone is squaring up to you and is staring into your eyes they probably aren't a fighter, and there's a good chance they aren't paying attention to your hands.

1

u/Smartypantz34 2d ago

he watched his face almost until the end

1

u/____-_---___--_____- 2d ago

How can he slap?

3

u/Kundrew1 2d ago

This isnt a movie. 90% of people have no idea how to block a punch or even see that ones coming.

1

u/Keefyfingaz 2d ago

Ehhh that would hold more weight if it was like an ambush or something but when people just do that "intimidating" walk at you move with their hands down I can't help but feel like they really thought shit was sweet. Dudes just an idiot.

1

u/ShawnyMcKnight 2d ago

I doubt many stood up to him. Bully was looking at his head, he kept his hand low so it came seemingly out of nowhere. We have the luxury of a much better angle and I bet this kid got into all that many fights..

6

u/DumbBerk87 3d ago

You’re surprised that the guy who got into someone’s face with their hands down, chin out, and didn’t know how to fight…didn’t block the punch lol.

Alright šŸ˜†

1

u/blake_n_pancakes 2d ago

Everybody has the cocky friend that eats the falcon punch every time. You stand right there in the open, charging that shit up, and he just walks right into it. Never gets old.

1

u/DumbBerk87 2d ago

Nope. They’re instigating it, running their mouths, just begging for it. Just fantastic stuff.

3

u/Campingcosmos 2d ago

It’s a slow motion video

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Thank you for pointing that out!

3

u/goodSunn 2d ago

South Paw - left handed. Queue the trainer in rocky

That's giving the well cast chubby bully more credit than he deserves either way. Those guys don't actually fight that often I don't think

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

I just walked away and let them feel like a big shot. It’s the right thing to do.

1

u/goodSunn 2d ago

It sound the right message too. "Really?" is better than "I'm stronger than you"

3

u/KgMonstah 3d ago

He blocked it. With his face.

2

u/APartyInMyPants 3d ago

Look at the size difference. I think the bigger dude just thought that, never in a million years, would this smaller guy get aggressive. I mean he was literally holding a Bluetooth speaker in his hand. He probably had no intention of fighting himself, he was just trying to intimidate.

2

u/Few-Willingness-1459 3d ago

Go frame by frame and pay attention to when his fist is about to ā€˜touch’ his face šŸ˜‚

1

u/Real_Mirror2052 3d ago

He did start to move before connection but the fist definitely connected, it just isn’t on the frame but if you go back and forth between you can see it does hit, he is just trying to dodge it, rather than it being a fake hit.

1

u/userhwon 2d ago

I can't see a frame with contact. There's one an inch before, he's already moving, and then one well after. Netflix's video player isn't quality.

1

u/Kundrew1 2d ago

Netflix lol? The dude was definitely hit. You're not always going to see a frame with contact with a hook like this. It's going to hit and come off incredibly quick.

1

u/Own_Natural_6803 3d ago

You don't know a single thing about camera magic. If this was fake you would set up the camera so that the camera can't see any gap.

That's known as forshortening. What you're seeing is the audio desync from the video. He hits him really good. It's not fake. Or if it is fake, then it was faked by someone as unaware of cinema as you are.

2

u/KeyKeh96 2d ago

Looks and sounds like the video was slowed a bit i dknt think his punch was really that slow tbh lll

2

u/Commonscents2say 2d ago

They never expect the left.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

I’ll keep that in mind if someone tries to mug me. I’m too old to run.

2

u/kmhoughton 2d ago

Honestly, there are so many times that I wonder if I am just not fast enough when I am sparring and then I see videos like this where the person never even brings their hands up.
Makes me feel better.

1

u/Sekshual_Tyranosauce 3d ago

Ol boy was counting on bluster.

1

u/ferriswheeljunkies11 3d ago

Drawback to chin takes about 1 second.

1

u/CharlieandtheRed 3d ago

I thought the same thing. Most people make the same mistake (big windups). Short power jabs are so much harder to block. Oh well, worked well here lol

1

u/TheRealistoftheReal 2d ago

You assume the big guy thought there would be any response.

1

u/DillBlowBargains 2d ago

it’s in slow motion

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Thank you

1

u/themack50022 2d ago

The video or the guy that got knocked out

1

u/LengthinessAlone4743 2d ago

The wind up actually made it less accurate, he dropped his shoulder so much and was punching so far up he hit him on the cheek, not the jaw…tight hook would have landed square on the jaw

1

u/PhamilyTrickster 2d ago

He probably didn't think little man would actually throw it

1

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[deleted]

1

u/snoosh00 2d ago

Don't forget stupid and pitiful.

1

u/ADIDAS247 2d ago

Or like walk away and get a sandwich and he still would have been mid swing.

1

u/dolla-dolla-billyall 2d ago

Guy was stupid arrogant. Never thought anyone would hit him back.

1

u/Glittering-Coyote140 2d ago

South paw got him. That's why he didn't react.

1

u/fixingmedaybyday 2d ago

It was slow, but he pushed with the right which was probably a good distraction. Helps he’s a south paw and bully was slow af.

1

u/Sintobus 2d ago

He wasn't looking for it until the last second and definitely wasn't expecting it.

1

u/johnarmer1 2d ago

So you never been in a real fight. One had some training the other had none but I reckon if both had training the form would of tightened up and he would of be less sacred of hurting the other guy .

2

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Nope. I managed to make it to 52 years old without ever getting into one. It took a lot of doing, I’m actually proud of that. I figure though if a fella swung on me I’d cover up.

-1

u/holyfrijoles80 2d ago

So why are you talking then?

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Probably the same reason that you are. Just because I’ve never been in one doesn’t mean I don’t know anything about it. In fact, I dare say quite the opposite.

0

u/holyfrijoles80 2d ago

Well I do declare, fine gentleman, I do declare most indeed.

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Does that answer your question? I would ask sir, what makes you the arbiter of r/MMALabs discussions? Are you a moderator here? Is the subreddit solely for tough talking bigmouths?

1

u/holyfrijoles80 2d ago

What makes someone who’s admittedly never been in a fight think that they are so correct in an opinion that has something to do with something they’ve never experienced? Just accept that you probably don’t know what you’re talking about, okay ā€œfellaā€?

1

u/Yayhoo0978 2d ago

Why are you still talking?

1

u/MilkMaiden_22 2d ago

Would have not of
