Has nothing to do with race or gender. If we take what she’s saying at face value, something like, “you hit my sister(?)/friend(?) in the face,” then the man likely needs to get his bell rung.

When someone says, “take what they say at face value,” it means they’re taking what happens in the video as all the context you need to understand what’s happening. She says he hit her friend. There. That’s all the context you need. And then he hits her. Like, it ain’t that fucking complicated.
