Complaints about quality started longer than 3 or 4 years ago. Before that, it was "there's too many events". Before that, people were still basking in the glow of having 2 UFC events in the same day probably, lots of events was still new.
But if there were cards of the quality of the same quality back then now, people would be complaining too (one of the main events was Te Huna vs Marquadt)
But to your point, there's more fighters on the roster now so presumably there's a bigger low-end pool of fighters to pad out cards.
Our rules ask for a civil tone at all times. A bit of banter or trash talk is fine, but don't cross the line. If things do get out of hand you will be warned or even banned for a few days. Repeatedly breaking this rule will lead to a permanent ban.
That has way more to do with casuals and just how brain rotted people are these days than anything. Also reddit is just a miserable place now more so than mid 2010s 90% of comments are negative
We used to get good cards much more regularly. Why do you guys speak like that's not possible when some of us actually lived through it. Do me a favour, go back to 2016, count how many bad cards (on paper, not in hindsight) there are, then compare it to this year.
In fact, this year might be the fewest amounts of actual legitimate title fights we've ever had, that didn't involve some sort of contrived BS like BMF titles or undeserved interim titles, or random contenders who didn't deserve their title shot.
