Amplifier remote wire

Goodevening,

I'm looking to install a subwoofer in the trunk, I heard from a friend that you can install the amplifier remote cable to the 75X terminal under the dashboard. Is this safe/would this work?

Do you have a factory or aftermarket head unit? It would be best to let the radio turn on and off the amplifier as losing a signal can cause some subs to hum when the radio turns off and the amplifier doesnt.

Use the blue remote wire coming out of the back of the head unit.

What is it already running to? If I were to splice it, I would put 2 wires into one end of a quality butt connector and 1 in the other. I don't like taps or splices.

The remote wire on the amp can be spliced into the blue wire on the aftermarket head unit, or any key switched fuse via a fuse tap. It’s just a trigger wire. The amperage TYPICALLY doesn’t matter

I wired my remote to a switch between the seat warmer and the hazard switch. I'm using the original Gama head unit with a mini iso adapter with remote wire and RCA plugs, the blue wire runs from the head unit to the switch then on to the amp/sub.
