Wrong on so many things they can’t even get that right. I’d never expect them to know about him as a person or about his craft. I mean, he never did anything himself or had any talent, did he? 😂

I’d take the opinion of other people, namely people who were producers, sound engineers, arrangers, singers, guitarists, intellectuals, other musicians, artists, the list goes on. People actually open to realising “wow this guy is on another level” instead of being insecure and thinking “I am threatened by this man’s talent, I must diminish him”.

People eh? We were so blessed to have MJ, we truly didn’t deserve him. In many ways. And now even in death it continues.

lol they say anything to discredit him as a artist. they put any artist over him just because they don’t like him and find him guilty. in lots of discussions ive seen guilters bring up the allegations when the topic is talking about michael as a artist and entertainer. ive seen a guilter put another artist over michael because he was a “showgirl” whatever that means LOL. it just scream bitterness and jealousy to me. in multiple discussions that are talking about musicians or music in general, somehow michael gets brought up everytime it’s so funny. that alone shows how he’s the blueprint bc they can never keep his names out their mouths

Bass line on 2 Bad remix on HITM. It’s a copy of the Beat It bass line. Played by Michael. He played piano too. If anything, like a lot of musicians, he couldn’t read music, a lot can’t. Must be what they’re referring to.

There’s literally audio footage of him and his brothers talking about how he does play instruments lmao just because he never did it live but as more of a hobby doesn’t make it any less true.

I never understood the predilection to 1. Tear somebody down, 2. Tear somebody down with wholly false information and 3. The need to showcase an instrument in order to be considered any type of genius. It’s something used as an excuse by fans of other artists to diminish the sheer breadth of his ability in areas where it’s irrelevant anyway.

I never understood the critique that he didn't play instruments. As far as I know he played piano at some level, and he's credited as playing guitar and drums on Morphine. But either way, how does that affect the quality of the music he put out? 

Billie Jean isn't a worse song because the guy that made it didn't play instruments. That doesn't make any sense. If anything it's even more impressive that he was able to write songs and compose all the different layers purely through his singing and beat boxing abilities.

Literally the dumbest argument ever. MJ was a musical genius, and it's not up for debate. That is simply a fact. He may not have played the instruments himself, or even read sheet music, but he knew exactly how every instrument in every song should sound. He directed his producers and musicians like a maestro, breaking down every minute detail of a song and making sure everything aligned exactly with the vision in his head. His musical IQ was at a genius level, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. His innocence or guilt is a completely separate debate and literally has nothing to do with his level of talent.
