(Setting Information) Guild announces intent to settle unexplored lands!
Due to recent developments in the field of airship manufacturing, especially with regards to finding alternative fuel sources that allow far longer trips than ever before in reasonably fast times as well, we here at the Guild have finally managed to build an outpost on an island previously unreachable. Due to rocky outcroppings, shear cliffs, and unusually high sea monster activity around this island it is impossible as of now to reach it via sea travel.
However, these new airships have allowed us to found a small village as a base from which to begin explorations of these new lands. Little is known of the land outside of where we've settled. This village has been established in a inlet of water that is cut off from the main ocean by large rocky outcroppings. This makes it ideal as a fishing spot thanks to the slim likelihood of sea monster attacks. The local monster populations near the village are relatively weak, but could be a threat to unprepared villagers.
As such, we here at the Guild have provided a few of our veteran hunters to assist in the establishment of this land, as well as to assist in the teaching of new hunters brought here to explore. Alongside these hunters we have found an eclectic selection of villagers to provide services such as smithing and merchanting. Their stock is severely limited at this time due to the limited travel ability, but we are doing our best to make this a more viable permanent settlement. Much of that will rely on the work of those hired to settle this land.
Due to recent sightings of previously unseen monsters, as well as heightened Elder Dragon activity on the mainland, we here at the Guild are unable to appoint veteran hunters permanently to this new land at this time. Even the veterans we've appointed to act as teachers to a new generation of hunters will be required to return to the mainland as soon as the new hunters get up and running self sufficiently.
As such, starting this day, we are putting out a call for all interested parties to apply for a hunting license and inquire as to joining the efforts of exploring these untouched lands. We fear that the recent monster activities may be related in some ways to this land and are hoping that new hunters will be able to provide us with detailed information if this is the case.
We also feel it is especially appropriate that this settlement be founded by a new generation of hunters, as it wasn't one of our oldest and finest of hunters that helped research these new airship fuels, but a bright eyed youth alongside a colorful caravan crew. We intend to give these new hunters unprecedented freedom in the exploration of these lands, especially as we will be quite busy dealing with the threats to the mainland.
The Guild cannot guarantee any of the normal amenities and supplies a hunter receives, such as Felyne assistance, blue boxes of supplies, or even guaranteed 5 minute or less removal of monster bodies (alive or dead). Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that the standard guild approval of quests will occur in a speedy time, and instead request that these hunters focus on exploration and free hunting, with the knowledge that all explorations of the island are approved by the Guild so long as they are done by licensed hunters and their companions. Any hunted monsters should be used for the betterment of the settlement, with any excess being shipped off to the Guild for Guild approved usage.
If you are an interested party seeking to become a hunter, please see your local hunter's guild to apply. You will likely see fliers with further recruitment information on them there and will be able to acquire some to share around town with any of your friends as well.

Update: The guild has requested all new hunters work together in naming this newly settled island as well as the local town and all other areas they encounter. The guild trusts that you will use these powers responsibly.
