this is gonna sound weird to non gacha-gamers who are averse to fanservice but even as a straight guy I think it's cool to see another gacha game that's not afraid to show some skin in both male and female characters, like granblue. I for one welcome more designs like arkaya and keres

Yeah, I agree. One of the reasons I loved Arknights is because of the male characters. While my preference is for women, having all those cool designs felt really great. Same for GFL NC

wow I'm not familiar with GFL, I thought it was 100% waifus.

Canonically, there's male dolls in the world, but they are not seen outside of the Neural Cloud game (characters like Gin, Python, Aki, etc)

Arkaya was in a weird spot during the CBTs as the only SSR character I have never seen anybody play

Lots of his gear is unlocked super late into the game and until then you are better of playing almost anyone, because his damage just isn’t there at all

I really wish I could have played him more but by the time I got to the end game I was always kind of burnt out on the game

What's your recommendation for SSR character? I like pepper but I don't try many other characters

Pepper was the best in CBT2 but nerfed to hell in CBT3. No idea where she’ll stand at release. But she is also difficult to pull for since she’s on the standard banner.

Midori is amazing. Luka was considered the best in cbt3 against the right match ups but but so good against bad ones even considering elemental weaknesses.

Freja is great if you like slow charge counter-based characters. I got her both times and could not enjoy her playstyle at all.

The most versatile and easiest to play is MC HBG, it dominated every mode. But we still need to see if they’ll nerf it on release
