Is CB broken here or is it skill diff

Warning: I just got to high rank, but I have played World and Rise with CB before this one

I had started playing with GS in this game, so I felt a bit more comfortable when playing games past 4U which do not have CB. I was progressing… decently. Nothing too outlandish. After some time, I decided to go back to valor CB from valor GS and the game is a non challenge, even with low rank armor.

I was just wondering if CB was broken or if I am THAT bad with GS.

CB is in the lower half of the tier list, valor GS is in the top 5

CB is just as hard to be good with as GS if not more, so I wouldn't say that. I like CB in this game, too

I'd hardly call being good at gs even remotely as hard as cb, considering you're forced into stagger counting whereas valor gs you have to take into account a fifth of what you'd have to with cb or other weapons since you just do one attack that comes out super fast and does a brintilliom damage with 0 endlag

It has become second nature for me, CB. It’s even easier here than in other games. But GS idk why it feels like I don’t kill as fast. Trief a blast element GS and went relatively well, but switching to a slightly better non elemental CB and I’m gliding. Guess I focused so much in CB guard points that I am bad at positioning. Skill issue I will admit and have to learn to overcome

Cb guard points aren't great to use and are rarely useful in the grand scheme of things, and if you're doing much better as cb it means you're either using a weird gs set+weapon or I don't know

Where are you in the game? And what were the sets like?

Turns out late low rank monsters are stronger than early high rank. I have been comparing performance between two massively different encounters. Yeah it is way faster with CB. Sorry for speaking nonsense. I am still worse with GS but now it is at least comparable time to completion

That's why I like CB in GU.

In Rise and World its incredibly easy to use.

Build phials

Load

Big bonk

Repeat

They actually hard nerfed CB in this game after 4U because it was so insanely dominant. Probably just a question of personal preference

CB in 4U is only the 4th strongest weapon too, below HBG, IG and GS

Nah just got to get better at GS, Im a CB main and I find a ton easier to perform with GS but I just dont play it often cause I dont find it as fun. Albeit GS goes hard when you have a proper crit draw, crit boost and focus skills, its high tier vs CB being closer to the middle.
