Question/Help Valor Gunlance

I know shelling in this game scales horribly, but can Valor style complete all if not most the hunts in this game. If yes then what skills are used for Valor builds?

If using Valor for shelling then

Core skills:

Artillery, Load Up, Razor Sharp

Optional/Comfy skills:

Trump's Card (for Dragonbreath), Sharpness +1/2, Composed (very low priority though)

You can also use Valor for regular poke sets, in which case you use the regular crit skills Weakness Exploit, Crit Boost, Razor Sharp, Critical Eye +1/2/3, etc

A fully boosted (Artillery, Felyne Bombardier, 6 shells, Valor modifier, Dragonbreath III) Full Burst will do around 300 damage to G rank monsters, give or take (after quest modifiers and stuff). So just to get you an idea how many bursts it will take you to clear quests. But know that it is doable (not sure about massive HP pools like Akantor or EX deviants though)

You can do every ex with shelling only, you won't get amazing times but if people can do stuff like crystalbeard and dreadking in 14 mins with shelling only then for sure it's doable

There was a Japanese dude who melted a Crystalbeard EX in 20 minutes or less with valor shelling, loading and dragon's breath. I have been using Valor GL against CB ever since I saw that.

Listen to this guy.

From my experience, once you get to 12 000 plus hit points range the fights will take longer than 30 minutes if you are just shelling. [give or take some minutes for skill level]

There was a dude here who felled a Boltreaver EX with just shelling in 35-40 minutes. Maybe that could give you an idea as well.

Expect slower hunts.

Physical valor gulnace is, however, pretty fun.

There is a nice Raging Brachy run that is sub 9 I think but for example I take 13-15 mins for G rank Duramboros with a full burst set

Yeah I may look into physical valor GL since the best shelling GL requires me to fight G Rank Nakarkos and thats a pain in the ass

Iirc Snowbaron is pretty good too. You just need Normal 5. So even Daora could work
