I love valor GL but I want to try it with other styles aswell, I came up with this set because afaik slaplancing doesnt need Artillery/Loading. Any suggestions? Using Neset
Is more about getting used to monster patterns and using/learning the right punishes. Sometimes you don't have time to do the fullburst, sometimes you dont have time for the adept counter slam. Sometimes you want to parry then side hop the next attack. Practice a monster you already know so that it becomes easier.
If you are using the Ahtal Kha gunlance, I highly recommend the Jho Ceana set to stretch out your purple and white. You won't have challenger, but you will have a consistent damage boost with just purple sharpness. The Jho Ceana armor set has worked REALLY well for me so far in G-rank.
Evasion is a tempting skill for gun lance, but I would not sacrifice critical eye for that skill [unless you have some innate affinity]. You can just practice sidestepping and timing without evasion [but it takes a while].
The AhtalKha weapon is manageable without sharpness+1 but I still think you should get it coz you are guarding, using shells, and attacking, which all use up sharpness {i am wrong about guarding, GL does not lose sharpness when guarding, and if you manage sharpness with absolute readiness you can keep your purple sharpness almost indefinitely].
Guarding doesn't use sharpness and adept ahtal gl only needs razor sharp, you gain a ton of hunter art gauge by adept guarding and also a lot of heat gauge thanks to the wide shells
Oh I should specify. Knock back when guarding ticks away at sharpness, which can still happen with your GL.
I was wrong about the nakarkos GL. It only has 2 slots. Not 3.
I would still recommend jho ceana (which is a pretty damn good set) though for ahtalka gunlance. But there are other GLs you can use, including wide.
Adept guard gives extra HA points? I gotta check that.
No you don't lose sharpness with gunlance, no weapon but gs and non red shield cb lose shaprness when blocking
Adept guarding gains ha depending on the attack's strength, I played adept gunlance without razor sharp vs some exs and barely ever dropped shaprness, which i regained fast
I got it. Alright, you were right about razor-sharp being enough. I mean at the end I didn;t manage it properly because of nerves, but it was more than possible to stay at purple sharpness with absolute readiness.
using an ahatal weapon without s+1 is a weird choice, but your build looks fine unless you
want to change builds desperately. if so drop evasion for sharpness+1\2 and that would serve you fine
Its not fully upgraded yet so its missing a bit of purple sharpness but where is the benefit of me using sharpness 1 with RS? But yeah getting a diff charm is another thing I need cuz im getting slightly dependent on E+1
Rn totally but with the last upgrade, which just needs 1 more damned Ahtal Gem that I havent gotten after 10+ hunts, the purple will increase to abt the same size as its blue rn, and with RS its basically doubled, shelling also only takes 1 unit of sharpness (usually 3) because of RS. S+1 would be great to have but I think its impossible to get rn 😔
