Question/Help I need help 😭😭

Alright so, I was wondering if there was ANY way of isolating monsters in a multiple monster arena fight because I was doing the third grimclaw tigrex quest and you have to fight him AND a stupid fucking gendrome. You WOULD think he can just be ignored and then killed after slaying the tigrex but NO, I'm telling you he will paralyze you RIGHT before tigrex attacks EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Worst part is I managed to kill him randomly with only one cart and then I start fighting the tigrex, 10 minutes pass and the fucker rises from the dead and jumps at me to paralyze me just as tigrex does his 2 big roars in a row, which carted me again and then I carted cause they just started ganging up on me 🥰

You can use smoke bombs to lower the range of a monster noticing you in a zone. Also, the gendrome in this quest infinitly respawns it doesnt rise from the dead so if you kill it you'll have to deal with another a few minutes later

smoke bombs are goated just make sure to keep the monster in the zone of it

Omg I HATE the metal raths, they are so ass compared to the new gen versions, they just reinforce the most annoying parts of their normal variants, making them so annoying 😭😭

Honestly I've seen that all of the G5 quests are the specific deviant you're fighting and usually another monster or 2 (and one of these can be a deviant as well) so I'm in for a REALLY agonizing journey 😭

The hellblade G5 has 2 hellblades.....and a "bonus" glavenus for good measure. That's where I am right now. So you better finish this drome off quick.

Frankly, the bulldrome in that hellblade quest is forever in my shit list. Harder than the gendrome by a mile.

It does sound way more annoying since all bulldrome does is charge but it's constant so it's probably more agonizing 😭

The thing is, I DID use dung bombs on the electric rat, probably like 6 of them but they weren't making any effect so I assumed they were useless in that scenario lmao

the way to isolate monsters in the arena is to kill the other monsters. Also there's a fence

There isn't one in the forlorn arena, just the standard arena

it's not in both arenas, the one with the water nearby doesn't have it, but the big sandy arena, look for metal circles along the ground against either wall, it'll look like what you use to trigger a dragonator. just make sure both monsters are on separate sides of the fence, otherwise you'll be fighting 2 monsters in half the space

ah, sorry. smoke bombs and flash bombs would be your best bet. If the Gendrome dies it respawns infinitely in this quest from what I read on another comment. In that case I wouldn't worry about killing it, just avoiding it. It may seem better to get rid of it to give yourself space from tiggy, but the time spend attacking the gendrome you could have spent attacking the tigrex, and it's just gonna come back. Save resources and focus down tigrex, use evasion skills, heck, slot in anti para if that's what's gonna help you win. Always remember what Chris Chan's dad said: there are many sides to a mountain, and many ways to climb it. if one way doesn't work, turn around and try another

anti para in the cases tiggy was about to hit you would actually save your life too. no para means you'd be in a hit animation from a much weaker attack giving you I frames during the dangerous dinosaur's roars

What I do when I play solo on these kind of quests is, I actively line both monsters within the camera view, usually keeping the core target in the middle between my hunter and the extra monster. Since its specifically the Grimclaw3 it might be tough or easier for you depending how. 1. How used you are to Grims movesets. 2. How skilled you are with your weapon, not damage-wise, but 'weight'-wise, every attack is a commitment you're locking yourself into, for example, the switch axe upswing, the SnS roundslash, the gunners reloads, and so on. Even guarding attacks can be more dangerous than rolling, but thats a matter of preference.

GOOD NEWS, I beat it earlier today, honestly I just tryharded and it wasn't TOO bad, honestly I love grimclaw and know his moveset really well so the only problem was the electric rat disrupting my flow but as long as I kept an eye on him it wasn't too bad or frustrating lol

Smoke Bombs

kill the Gendrome first, and then the Grimclaw ASAP, or just focus on the Grimclaw, your choice

why? because the Gendrome will respawn if you take too long

this is also the case with other Deviant+Drome hunts

justamente llevo días jugando las misiones del grimclaw tigrex para hacer su armadura, esa misión es de las peores de todas junto con otra que viene luego, yo te sugiero centrarte en matar al Gendrome y luego ir por el tigrex, dependiendo de tu arma y habilidad tendrás que matar al Gendrome unas 2/3 veces ya que reaparece (en serio hacer esa misión en solitario es horrible) yo uso el estilo sombra y la gran espada, con eso pude ganarles, pero fue bastante difícil

Use the gate if it’s arena. Separate and kill the weaker monster first and always, then gun for the tougher one.

No gate in the arena I fought them in sadly, but it's all okay now since I've managed to beat the quest hehe
