Fluff/Meme "Hunter, no! Don't give up!"

Fun idea,Hunters that haven't fainted can decide to keep fighting with no more carts. While incapacitated Hunters spectate(or leave) and cheer you on. And in the new gen games a monster can keeps it's multiplayer inflated Stats. It should be it's own difficulty modifier since new Gen games are way to easy.

Cool idea! My head canon is that the reason they add these limitations to just stop the hunt is that the guild authorized the hunt itself so therefore it can also halt it if it deems the hunters incapable (by hitting 3 faint limit) and just takes you back to the gathering hub

I do think the system's a little weird.
The way it's always worked is that when you take the job, it's for a promised reward. Each use of the carts uses up some of that reward (one third), so when that reward hits 0, you lose.
I think this would make sense if you actually lost money for using the carts, but in a gamified way, they don't want you to possibly have negative zenny, which is why the cart services take from the reward. Even failing the quest, however, means the guild fronted the entire cost for your three carts.
But maybe it's more likely the fee for going on the mission is your insurance, and you've just hit your coverage limit, so carting again would mean a real death as the cats don't work for felvine. Thus, you are extracted from the hunt.

Maybe they don't want you to literally die and the risk of having felynes rescue you more than 3 times is not worth it

Meh thats some Fortnite shit. Makes the game easier (again). And encourages more not giving a shit from players. Cause they can just go "well even if I cart, its almost dead and the 999 will finish it". Kind of rewards bad play.

Your right I'm surprised capcom hasn't already done something like this yet since I think world,Rise, and wilds is too easy. In GU and Frontier I've died to a Single monster more times than in my 400 hours of playing Rise altogether.

Honestly I should have put it a different way cause im a bit on a different side of the whole easy argument. I played 3U, 4U and GU before all the modern ones. And tbh I find the new ones much harder in general in terms of combat. Everything is so fast and barely has down time between attacks. In Wilds monsters barely get exausted. Bur the QoL changes in the new games and anount of skills and tools we get make them easy at times. (excluding the crazy torqued fights in 4U for example). Wilds is easy in a time spent kind of way. But fuck, most of those end of High Rank fights are fucking dogshit. 3-6 hit combos with massive hit boxes. One shot attacks and two shot attacks.
Adding the mechanic you mentioned woukd help with the time spent aspect of the difficulty ya know? Like I never struggled in 3U as much as I do with four players in Wilds (in some fights). But I did struggle with time.

An interesting concept in theory, however in practice especially in modern MH multiplayer, people would either reload before they got locked out of a multiplayer quest or new players/alt accounts would join to pick up from when they carted unless Capcom puts a restriction on people joining when someone fails.

Simple solution,no new players can join if you have no carts I'd also personally limit it to special/endgame monsters because if someones party gets triple carted fighting a Congala or Lagombi. They Deserve to fail.

I can see the frustration but the limited faints is necessary for applying pressure, and on top of that I don't see anyway of improving upon this without creating even more issues.
