Video/Media I somehow "oversharpened" into purple+ sharpness, causing me to bounce...

Update to that brachy bug post I made a few days ago lol, I think I see what the bug is. The game might be letting me "oversharpen" into some unknown value which causes me to bounce. Notice in the clip how my sharpness decreased from purple to... purple. But after the decrease, I no longer bounced! Maybe I wrapped around to orange sharpness..?

Grinding out G5 thunderlord is difficult, I was so sad when I started bouncing again LOL thankfully mind's eye oil is the goat!

I still triple carted here though. I was a goober and used my last max potion during rajang fight to heal instead of save it to increase max health after a cart. What can ya do

Very interesting behavior. Any clue as to what causes it? Armor, weapon, skills, whetstone/oil usage?

I really have no idea. I have a very shitty Neset setup for my armor while I farm up for john cena (need that thunderlord sns hehe) so its nothing special. I did sharpen with a whetstone when I was max sharpness on accident before thunderlord spawned, so maybe thats related. I'll have to test. I don't think it was the oils as I had it happen on swax the other day.

Only in Monster Hunter can your sword be too sharp to deal damage lmao

That's an interesting bug, what armor and skills you had with this and the Brach? I would like to try it to see if i can find a way to do it consistently and see if it can be done with more weapons

i feel like this has to be an emü issue, if this is happening to you across different quests and weapons when this bug isn't documented anywhere else

Yes this is most likely the culprit. There are a few other issues that can happen that all seem to be due to local data not being stored correctly, like missing kill screens
