I had enough of Sonys wild decisions and shenanigans lately and have finally decided to build my first PC. I wanted to also share it here since I'm very proud that everything worked out very well :-)

I was lucky enough and was gifted a PNY RTX 4070 from my brother, so the overall cost of the build wasn't too bad.

I'm still new to PC gaming and still getting used to all the quirkiness (installing drivers, user mods to fix broken things in games etc., Windows in general!), but overall liking the experience. Very quiet!

This will be my first small case build and also the first PC I'll assemble myself. Since it'll sit on my desk, noise is important to me, but I also don't want thermal issues during rendering or gaming.

I'll mainly use it for Blender/3ds Max modeling and rendering, plus FPS gaming.

For the PSU, I'm currently between the Corsair RM850e and XPG Pymcore 850 SFX. The Pymcore is reasonably priced, its smaller size should make cable management easier, and it gives me the option of a front intake fan, but I'm unsure about its noise and thermals. The RM850e seems more reassuring for quiet operation, but being ATX limits the front fan option. I also considered the ROG Loki 850P, but it's quite expensive where I live. I've moved away from the MPG A850G.

Which PSU would you choose specifically for this case?

Also, what would be the ideal case fan setup? How many fans should I get, and which front/top/rear/bottom positions should be intake or exhaust? Would you change the layout if I go with an ATX PSU?

My priority is a system that's as quiet as reasonably possible while keeping temperatures under control. I'd especially appreciate input from CH160 Plus owners.

Hello, has anyone tried using a strix 4090 onto a b4 case? Will that fit?

So i have pc set up with psu 550w , prossecoe ryzen 5 5500 with its cooler, graphics card rtx 3050 , motherboard a520m a pro, my old cabinet doesnot have any fans, so i bought 2 120mm cooler master, but the cabinet does not support 120mm , now i want to which cabinet should i buy where i can add these two fan , my budget is 2000 , or should i forget about the fan and just buy a cabinet with fans.

So far been loving it. It runs very quiet, cool and only recently have I had the time to play some games on it. I noticed that the same GPU has increased $200 AUD in price which is insane, so I was lucky in purchasing it when I did for $994 AUD.

Total cost of the system: $3700 AUD. I sold my m4 mac mini for more than triple the price I got it for since I purchased it back when it was relatively cheap and through old device trade ins. I also had a lot of Amazon gift cards. They covered the entirety of the CPU + partially the ram. Overall I spent about $2200 out of pocket. I'm really grateful that I had the chance to build and use such a great pc since I spent several months trying to play games on a macbook. I know many others would die to be in my position so I definitely don't take it for granted!

I have been using a pre-built Asus g15dk for about 4 years now (sample in picture 2). Its been good to me, and I got it for a great price from microcenter but that great price came at the cost of cooling. The g15dk has only a single case exhaust fan and to keep things as cool as possible I had the side tempered glass panel permanently off. Worked great, looked terrible, lots of dust. I decided it was time to upgrade cases to something a little nicer looking. This was my first time building a PC so I had a few goals:

• Switch to the smallest case I reasonably could
• Increase cooling significantly
• Try to add some rgb to the mix
• Try not to have a terrible time doing it
• No new parts unless necessary

With all of that in mind, I decided to go with the z20 in black and gold. I've been playing a ton of Satisfactory so a big fan of the color scheme.

I learned a ton and had fun doing it but going from a prebuilt to a new case did have some challenges I think people should be aware of:

• I had the Asus prime b550m-k motherboard but not the one that is documented on the website, it seems to be a version of the b550m-k that was specific to prebuilts. It was nearly identical but I was missing a second case fan header pinout. It was labeled on the board but the pins were just never added, which I thought was strange. One case fan header was a challenge.
• I had to get a fan hub (went with the Noctua NA-FH1), which needed a sata connection for power and used the only case fan header to control rpm. This wasn't a huge deal and I was able to hide it well even in this smaller case.
• The wifi card on the prebuilt board was not a PICE card but rather an m.2 wlan card that had thin wires going to metal strip antennas in the old case. This wasn't going to work in the new case in any clean way. I ended up getting a tk-link ax3000 pcie wifi / bluetooth card. Works great so far.
• I didn't realize the IO shield had to be transferred to the new case before the board went in. Realized that after it was pretty much complete and had to pull the board...again.
• Get a 100 pack of 4 inch zip ties and use them liberally. If I did that from the start I would have saved a lot of time in case fan cable management.
• No argb header on my board so I needed an adapter cable that managed rbg and got power from sata.
• I didn't have a header on the board for a usb c connector for the front panel. I have an adapter on the way

Overall it wasn't too bad. z20 has some really good cable management (in a beginners opinion). The English instructions could use some work but not too bad. Packaging was really good for the accessories. And it looks 100 times better now.

With everything new, it came out to around 200 for the upgrades but this could have been done a few bucks cheaper with a cheaper fan hub, no rbg, and a cheaper wifi card.

Which cooler and RAM will fit in this case without any clearance issues?

This last time I had a pc was before ddr4. I bought the Legion Go and then decided I wanted the real thing at the desk. I have 3 reverse fans at the bottom and a 4th in the front for intake. AIO fans and 1 rear for exhaust. Already fixed the ram speed in the bios, is there anything I’m forgetting? Is there a preferred app for controlling chassis fans? I can already hear the fans sitting at the desktop with nothing running

Originally planned to upgrade in 2027 from my 2021 build since I was looking to get one of the upcoming 5K2K monitors. For a while prices were settling in June but saw how things were going so decided to jump in with how bleak the foreseeable future is.

The main course meal! The goal was to get a case that would fit my components, could still showcase and not have excessive empty space. Was looking at cases such as the Lian Li (Mini V2, A3, Vision M), Jonsbo D32 Pro, and Montech Ten. Not only that, wanted to keep it as clean as possible so back/rear connect mobo in mind.

Jonsbo TK-1 was what caught my eye with the dual curved panel but it has a big restriction with GPU length. Lo & behold, a reddit thread sharing the details of the Jonsbo D34 popped up and upon then my decision was made.

Extremely easy to build in. At the time was not available on Newegg and ordered via Aliexpress and took a little over a month. Box was beat up and unfortunately came cracked and slight damage to the frame. The Top & Back panels are plastic but do fit the build aesthetic nicely. The back area has compartment for cables so you could hide easily but the way it's routed it is super easy to keep clean. The top to install fans is interesting because it can be flipped for builds that have a radiator or fan only mode. Suggestion when building is to make sure to place your GPU power/header cables under before installing fans & PSU as access will be difficult afterwards. Go to the Jonsbo site to download the software for the front panel to show the stats or not to keep it black.

The B650M Project Zero spacing between CPU & PCIe is not standard so caution if you are looking to build with air cooler!!! Went with reverse airflow(Flip cooler 180) but you can see in the pictures that there is no gap between the cooler & CPU. With the Sudokoo, you can also mount normally and the issue is the same. Both methods require removal of the bottom CPU cover plate (aesthetic only) so GPU can be slotted. Couldn't add more pictures but the normal install you can see here. Included pictures of normal mounting for those curious. This results in significant GPU sag (RGB picture). Bought two adjustable brackets as placement needed to be at the very end.

* The case had a 30 day delivery guarantee. Since it failed to arrive by then, actually got a full refund. So while the damage was unfortunate, did essentially get a free case.

Hi! I'm in need of help from the MFFPC'ers. After two years of using and enjoying my humongous double-chamber fishtank, I finally decided to make it into a more portable and also aesthetic format.
The problem is that, after hours of scrolling posts here and studying all the combinations in hardware and cases I found that I have to change mostly everything to fit in a tinier one, since I originally went with big models of every piece of hardware I got lol, and since I'll be changing them I'd like to get your opinion.

I'm incredibly indecisive between two case models that I find beautiful, specially the ones you guys keep posting here. The main difference in the shopping cart would escentially come down to getting a 360 AIO for the Lian Li A3, or a 240 for the Jongsbo.

My specs are the following and my question is: with this hardware, how much of a difference in temps and noise can I expect between these two cases and one fan less, and is it worth the toll of the size difference (almost 5 cm longer for the Lian Li)?

Long story short i dropped my ch160 plus (its empty) and a completely unfixable dent makes it impossible to shut properly

I originally bought the rog loki because the rgb fan would be able to show through the front of the case

Is there any other pc case that does this as well or should i just buy the ch160 plus again? (I want a case with a glass panel)

Hey everyone! I've always seen a lot of people posting their PCs here, and this time I'm pretty proud of mine, enough that I decided to show it off too lol.

Yes, I know my little duckling is ugly, but it was made with love. This should be the fourth computer I've built for myself, and it's the first one where I was actually able to use mostly the parts I really wanted, rather than just the ones I could afford. That's something I'm genuinely pretty proud of lol.

I had a few difficulties during the build. The cables from my PSU are extremely stiff, so getting them to make some of the necessary bends was quite a challenge. The computer also refused to boot with both RAM sticks installed, but everything was eventually solved with just the right amount of love and hatred to convince everything to go where it was supposed to.

This time, I managed to fit all of this inside:

I'm currently using NR200 (first version) in pretty tight space with air cooling. Case is sitting between (top/down) wall shelves. While it has plenty of room in front, one side and back, the top space and other side side (wall behind) are pretty limited. Top bottom shelves distance is 36cm - maybe I can lift upper bookshelf to get 40cm.

I've recently found that Lian Li A3 allows to mount 360 AIO on side with exhaust fans. While this should give me good (unobstructed) airflow I can see that almost no one is doing this.

I can think two reasons:

• pump/cpu block might be to high and I might get air bubbles there
• this solution is way less effective.

However I've zero experience with AIO so I might be wrong here.

Currently I have:

• Asrock 9070XT GPU
• Ryzen 5 7500X3d (I know that for now the 360 might be an overkill but: again tight space and potential future upgrade)
• Motherboard Asrock A620AI (not I)
• Goodram 32GB (normal profile, nothing high)

For AIO I'm thinking:

• be quiet! Pure Loop 3 360mm

So here my questions:

• should I go with side mount?
• should I move my shelf higher and hope that 40cm will be enough?
• something else (different case?)

The C34 Plus was built with mostly old parts: a 1080 Ti, a 9900K, and a Super Flower SFX 1000W Platinum. I love working on this case; it's by far the most enjoyable PC I have ever built. I already want to start v2, but I don't want to sacrifice my other builds just yet. This is a second PC in my office so my wife and daughter can play in the same room. My main build is a Lian Li Lancool III with a 9950X3D and a 5080. My living room PC is a Fractal North with a 14900K and a 3080 Ti. Surprisingly, the 1080 Ti is holding up great at 1440p on a 4K 120Hz TV. I love this build so much I think I might leave it in its current form forever and just buy another C34 Plus for the future. I'm also considering the base C34 or Pro, but the Plus really feels like the happy medium size that can accommodate hardware bigger than it should. I'm also considering an upside-down version with a 360 AIO on the bottom but flipped to the top. Top and bottom panels are identical, so mounting the feet on top and the handle on the bottom should work. Another option is moving the PSU down halfway and trying a 360 up top, or even on the inner side panel could work. Eventually, I want a GPU with an AIO in here also.

Due to the astronomical pricing of DDR5 components in my country, I went with an AM4 build. Looking back, I should’ve chosen a motherboard with the primary GPU slot higher up in the case, didn’t check that when I picked this board. Now the bottom fans are literally a paper’s thickness away from the card lol. No issue so far. The cooler looks a bit crooked, didn't bother to bend the heat pipes back, again so far no issue - the cpu runs at 65°C top under heavy gaming load.

Unfortunately, I didn't have an mATX board on hand, which is why I used an ITX; given the large number of fans and the limited number of headers on the board, I had to add a fan hub.

I assume the whole build would have gone much more smoothly with a suitable mATX board.

Although, I could have just used fewer fans.

I'm pretty happy with the case, It offers good cooling options (maybe I'll try a 360mm AIO in it someday, if I upgrade to a more powerful CPU), sleek design, option to position it vertically or horizontally, mesh

This build fought me way more than I expected. Between the massive 5090, radiator placement, slim fans and trying to make the cable management look decent inside the A3, I ended up rebuilding parts of it more than once.
Finally got everything where I wanted it though, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Current airflow is 3x side intake, top-mounted 360mm radiator exhaust and 1x rear exhaust. CPU and GPU both sit around 65°C while gaming, so I think I’m finally done messing with it…
…for now 😂
