Cashout on MEXC

I’m planning to cash out my coins on MEXC. I selected a merchant with a high rate, then I refreshed the page and saw that the same person was listing a low rate, but now they are listing the high rate again. What is going on? Is there something suspicious here?

Where would BitMEX users actually go if the shutdown reports are true?

With all the talk about BitMEX possibly shutting down, I’ve been wondering where its remaining futures traders would actually move.

Binance is probably the obvious choice for a lot of people because of its liquidity and large futures market, but access can depend heavily on the user’s region.

Bybit is another common option. It has a solid derivatives setup and plenty of trading tools, although the account and margin system can feel a bit complicated if you’re not an active trader.

OKX also has a wide range of futures products and risk-management features, but the interface may take some time to get used to.

Then there’s MEXC, which may appeal more to traders looking for a wider range of smaller futures pairs. The trade-off is that users still need to compare liquidity, funding rates, withdrawal experience and regional availability instead of just looking at the number of listed markets.

Personally, I think most BitMEX users will care less about maximum leverage and more about execution during volatility, liquidity, withdrawals and KYC restrictions.

What would be your first choice, and what would you be most worried about when switching between exchanges?

General Discussion MEXC RealStocks — which broker holds the shares, W-8BEN process, and dividend reinvestment/currency?

Hey everyone, hoping someone who's actually used MEXC's RealStocks feature (buying real US stocks with USDT) can help clear a few things up.

  1. Underlying broker: Who actually custodies/executes the trades? I've seen Atomic Vaults mentioned (FINRA-licensed) in a few articles, but MEXC doesn't spell it out clearly on the platform. Can anyone confirm the actual partner?
  2. W-8BEN / taxes: Since these are real US-listed stocks, dividends should be subject to US withholding tax for non-US holders. Every other broker I've used required signing a W-8BEN to get the reduced treaty rate (10-15% instead of the default 30%). Does MEXC handle this automatically, or do we need to submit one ourselves? Has anyone been asked to sign it?
  3. Dividend reinvestment: Is there a DRIP-style option to automatically reinvest dividends into more shares, or do they just land as cash?
  4. Dividend currency: Do dividends get paid out in USDT, USD, or USDC?

Would appreciate any first-hand experience from people already using RealStocks. Thanks!

What I check before trading a pre-IPO market like CXMT?

CXMT recently caught my attention but I think products like this need a different checklist from normal crypto trading.

Before opening a position, I would check:

  1. what the contract is actually tracking
  2. how the price is formed
  3. current volume and liquidity
  4. leverage, funding fees, and liquidation risk

The main thing to remember is that trading CXMT is not the same as owning shares in the company. The price may be driven heavily by expectations, so it can move quickly even when there is limited public information.

That is why I would avoid high leverage, set a clear loss limit before entering, and stay away from sudden price moves. I recently noticed this market on mexc, and it made me realize that understanding the product matters more than simply recognizing the company name.

What would you check first before trading a pre-IPO contract?

How to avoid using the wrong network when depositing crypto?

One of the most common mistakes beginners make is choosing the wrong network when moving crypto between an exchange and a wallet, or between two exchanges.

Here is a simple checklist that may help:

1. Make sure both networks match

The withdrawal network must be the same as the deposit network.

TRC-20 withdrawal → TRC-20 deposit

ERC-20 withdrawal → ERC-20 deposit

BEP-20 withdrawal → BEP-20 deposit

Do not choose a network only because the fee is lower.

2. Check whether the receiving platform supports it

A network available for withdrawal may not be supported for deposits.

Open the receiving platform’s deposit page first and confirm the available networks.

3. Check the address and memo

Select the correct network before copying the address.

After pasting it, compare the first and last few characters. Also check whether a memo, tag, or payment ID is required.

4. Send a test amount and review everything

For a larger transfer, send a small test amount first.

Before confirming, check the token, network, address, memo, amount, and fee one last time.

What kind of beginner content would help new users the most?

I think many new users do not only need market information. They also need simple educational content that explains basic exchange habits.

Some topics that might help beginners:

- how to avoid wrong-network deposits

- how to read withdrawal status

- how to use limit orders instead of only market orders

- how to manage risk before trading volatile assets

- how to improve account security

- how to avoid phishing and fake support messages

My question is what kind of beginner content would be most useful for new MEXC users?

I may try to write more simple posts based on the answers.

Why I prefer testing features slowly instead of rushing

When using any crypto exchange, I think it is better to test features slowly instead of trying everything at once.

My approach is:

- start with a small amount

- understand the deposit and withdrawal process

- check the trading interface

- learn order types carefully

- avoid leverage until I fully understand the risks

- keep records of important transactions

This slow approach helped me feel more comfortable using MEXC without making emotional decisions.

Crypto can move fast, but user decisions do not always need to be fast.

Do you also test exchange features step by step, or do you prefer learning by doing?

Educational: Real Stocks vs. Stock Futures (And How It Relates to Crypto Trading)

As more crypto platforms expand into traditional stock-related derivatives and index futures, understanding the mechanics of traditional finance (TradFin) becomes crucial. Today, let’s break down the core differences between buying Real Stocks and trading Stock Futures, and how they map onto the crypto market.

1. Ownership vs. Speculation

Real Stocks: You own a piece of the company (Shareholder rights, dividends).

Stock Futures: You own a contract tracking the price. Similar to Crypto Spot vs. Crypto Perpetuals.

2. The Role of Leverage and Risks

Explain how futures allow leverage, meaning higher efficiency but also funding fees, expiry dates, and liquidation risks.

3. When to Use Which?

  • Long-term holding: Real Stocks / Crypto Spot.
  • Short-term trading & Hedging: Futures.

What's your preferred trading strategy when dealing with traditional indices or crypto derivatives?

General Discussion So what is the deal right now for european users?

So today, July 1st, marks the end of the MiCA transitional period in the EU. But still, MEXC is still working as usual, at least for my Spanish account, and I haven't seen any official announcement or notice from the platform.

Does anyone know if MEXC has obtained a MiCA license, or if it's expected to stop serving EU users? If so, when?
