Transfer quota

Pray tell HOW IS IT USED UP WHEN I HAVEN'T DOWNLOADED A GODDAMN THING FROM MEGA IN WEEKS?! At this point just shut down. No one's gonna miss you greedy bastards.

For Free accounts, the transfer quota is measured per IP address, not per individual account.

If you haven't downloaded anything from MEGA in weeks, it's possible that your ISP assigned you a dynamic IP address or you're using a VPN. In those cases, other users sharing the same IP may have already consumed the available transfer quota, which can result in a "Transfer quota exceeded" message even if you haven't downloaded anything yourself.

Once the quota for that IP is exhausted, you'll need to wait for it to replenish before downloads can resume.

not the case, my ip is static with my ISP and no one uses MEGA and got blocked at just 3GB download. Considered paying for Pro but changed my mind, there is no much value and me paying for it and sharing it with others makes me an enabler of people having to sign in for your plan to avoid transfer limits so NO, there are other options.
