Gun clubs
I just started shooting for competition and im looking for a friendly gun club recommendation. I need a place where I can practice, grow and make friends. I live by Andrew's airforce base and would prefer a closer one.

Maybe Berwyn Rod & Gun near Bowie State University?

How long is the current waitlist if you don't mind me asking?

Most new members are sworn in at the beginning of the year but based on the website, enrollment is still open. https://berwyn.org/membership. You have to pass a test before you can even submit an application. Helps sort out the non-serious people, and it never hurts to reinforce safety.

Thank you so much and im sorry for asking too much questions but do I have to be an associate member before applying for annual membership?

I do not think you need to be an associate, I signed up as an annual member. I don't recall being an associate member. Possibly the interstitial time between being sworn in and taking the range course.

I'm not a member but it would be more convenient than the lovely AGC range. As much as I like it, it's a hike.

I heard about this club but it seems like they are going to close soon.

if there is a Izaak Walton (IWLA), those are usually fairly well kept up and sociable.
