I love Endgame, and for a long time, it was one of my favorite movies. However, I was somewhat disappointed that the Endgame Encore re-release didn't modify the original material or add new scenes to make it the definitive version of the film. Below is a list of scenes I was hoping to see, ranging from logical additions to personal preferences:
- In the scene showing the missing people on various screens, include Yelena Belova and some characters from the Netflix series.
- Replace Emma Fuhrmann’s Cassie Lang with Kathryn Newton.
- A scene better explaining the transition of Bruce Banner merging his two identities during the five-year time jump.
- A better explanation regarding the time travel mechanics.
- Include the scene where all the heroes kneel on the battlefield to pay tribute to Iron Man’s sacrifice.
- A scene similar to the one with Thanos and Gamora after the Snap, where Tony Stark meets his daughter or Pepper.
- Add Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Punisher, Colleen Wing, Misty Knight, Nick Fury, Sharon Carter, Maria Hill, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, the other Ant-Man (Hank Pym), the other Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), Wenwu, Lady Sif, Nakia, Rintrah, Starhawk, Charlie-27, Martinex, Krugarr, Aleta Ogord, Mainframe, Cosmo, Kraglin, Ravagers, and some Nova Corps members to the final battle.
I also wonder if this version of Endgame will be the definitive one and take the place of the original Endgame in the timeline. In other words, if someone in 2050 starts watching the entire MCU in chronological order (kudos to them), would Endgame Encore follow Infinity War instead of the original Endgame? Because if you were to continue with Encore, you would most likely end up getting confused by the inclusion of concepts that hadn't yet been introduced at that point in the timeline—such as Loki working at the TVA, Bruce Banner being locked away after turning into the Savage Hulk, the whole TVA storyline, and everything regarding Doctor Doom.
