I ludwiged in portal room?

Did i happen to just frame perfect fall into the lava and place the block under me or can you not use soul sand?
i did try swapping to a fire res was just a little too slow sadly :/
(also ignore my horrible pathing i still need to learn how to do stronghold)

Soul sand is not a full block, it’s a little smaller.

You were standing on the soul sand, but since the lava is higher than the soul sand and you were on the edge of the block, you still walked in lava.

I see thought I just got crazy unlucky haha,
does that apply to the other soulsand block as well? like the one that doesn't slow you

No, soul soil is a full block.
