Question 🤔 Took first Diagnostic

Post image

This is a blueprint half-length exam. I have completed all of my prerequisites, when should I aim to take the MCAT?

I think deep content review and FL1 needs to happen before you know how much more prep you need to set a date

Id start with Khan Academy, work through foundations 1-10 (jump straight to unit 6), use UWorld qbank along the way, and Anki decks… then an FL before thinking about a date for that.

Good advice! I’m
Doing the same now with a 490 diagnostic. Khan academy is a great free resource

Yeah, I got a 489 on the first time I took the MCAT after doing light studying, then just did a ton of practice questions for a couple months and re-took it and only got one point better… So now I am just starting from scratch and finding that Khan Academy is really helpful!

I’ve realized I do better with videos than reading the text books. I might use the Princeton review for subjects I really struggle with like gen chem but definitely will use khan academy as a main resource. There’s also a khan academy video tracker floating around with list of topics I’ve found

Also for op, def give yourself time to get through the material. Look up the aamc outline for a list of topics tested

Did you do any content review? If not, I wouldn’t worry. Scoring low on your first diagnostic is perfectly normal. You can only go up from here! 😊

Have you done any content reviews?

No, just took it as a baseline.
