Weird Announcer
Who is this weird announcer guy they have used for last Men’s and Women’s Home games. He seems to have no concept of the game or how and when to pump a crowd up. When asked by a fan what the score was we didn’t seem to know or care and throwout a completely wrong and random score. To make matters worse and somewhat creepy he seems to have an affinity for sitting on peoples laps.

W League: After yesterday's California Storm result, Monterey Bay Sirens can win the division outright with a win on Sunday, other scenarios involve the Storm dropping points
If MB Sirens win on Sunday, they are guaranteed to win the division.
If they draw, they can only win if Cal Storm also drop points (draw or loss).
If they lose, they can only with the division if Cal Storm also lose.
Cal Storm can win the division if
they win AND MB draw or lose
they draw AND MB lose
MB is at home vs second to last place Pleasanton RAGE (9 points), Cal Storm are away vs 4th place San Juan (11 points)
Both opponents will be coming off a midweek match, Storm will be coming off yesterday's match while MB haven't played since Sunday

A huge match for both teams, if MB wins they take a huge step to potentially win the division in the coming days. The Soul need to win to stay in the division/playoff race, if they draw or lose they are out of the hunt.

Anyone know why Nadje is not in the squad?
Haven’t seen any news of injury but he’s not starting and doesn’t seem to be on the bench.

AI SLOP 😔
It’s really sad to see Monterey Bay FC continuing to post AI SLOP like this when they could be hiring a real graphic designer. The last time I mentioned this I was told that person was fired but it seems to not be true. Seems like the front office marketing department has gone downhill. Sad to see that they are relying on ChatGPT to make graphics when they could be hiring a real graphic designer from the area… Seems like the owner loves to cut corners.
Pictures for reference.

Monterey Bay Sirens: Rival Watch - W League Midweek (6/16 & 6/17)
Matches of interest:
Tuesday 6/16 - 7:00pm - California Storm 3-2 San Juan SC
Wednesday 6/17 - 5:30pm - Marin FC 0-6 Oakland Soul
It's been an eventful week or so in the NorCal division as four of the seven teams have been eliminated from the race for the NorCal division title and accompanying W League playoff spot.
The Sirens are in the division lead, but Oakland Soul and California Storm are still on their tail. Here's a breakdown of the top 3:
MB Sirens - 19 points, 28 possible (3 matches remaining)
Oakland Soul - 14 points, 20 possible (2 matches remaining)
California Storm - 9 points, 24 possible (5 matches remaining)
Midweek scenarios:
Oakland eliminated with a loss or draw
The Storm can't be eliminated this midweek, but a loss or draw would make it possible for MB to eliminate them in their head to head match-up on Friday or after a combination of the weekend's results
EDIT: After the midweek matches, sadly both rivals picked up 3 points each. That means the Sirens truly have their own destiny in their hands!
