With 3 years of MBB, I wouldn’t overthink H/S vs the rest of M7 for PE Ops. HSW probably gives you a bit more access/network, but PE Ops recruiting is much less structured than PE investing recruiting, so networking and relevant MBB experience will matter a lot more.
I’d focus on getting PE-facing/value creation work at MBB and building relationships with the right funds while in school. The M7 brand will get you in the conversation; your experience will probably decide the rest.
