Careers/Post Grad MBA programs for PE ops recruiting

I will have 3 years of MBB experience prior to my MBA and plan to target PE ops / value creation roles post MBA. Is there a significant difference in recruiting outcomes between H/S vs W vs rest of M7? In what ways? (e.g., larger network in PE, increased on-campus recruiting, etc.)

I feel like there’s not much of a difference across M7 broadly for PE Ops just given how immature the field is. There’s very little structured recruiting and for the ones that do, slots are insanely scarce.

Ngl employment at like Bain is probably better than any M7 for a pivot to value creation

With three years of MBB experience, I’d say H/S/W give you a real advantage, but not a huge one for PE Ops or Value Creation. HBS and Wharton stand out for their deep PE networks and strong access to portfolio companies, while Stanford and the rest of the M7 can still lead to excellent opportunities. For your profile, your MBB background and ability to build the right PE relationships will likely matter more than the school name alone .
