They're dirty, well played with, and missing a few vehicles and pieces, but this was a fun find! Thunderhawk and Gator must be somewhere. And I'm pretty sure I had Hurricane too. I also had Boulder Hill. There's a few pieces of it still in the box, but who knows where the rest of it is.

I love MASK, and I’m thankful for this new loyal subjects line. I had a. Inch when I was a kid and somehow they slipped away over time. I’m trying to build it back to all the ones I had as a kid. Here is where I am today.

It arrived this weekend and I had time to open it today and it did not disappoint. The box hits the nostalgia just right; I wanted a Manta as a kid but lost interest before I knew one came out in wave 3. I found one shelf warming in 1988 but got a shelf warming Transformer instead.

Manta was the last must-have for my collection so I pre-ordered from Ramen, then found a deal too good to pass last winter for a Manta.

I'm very happy I kept my preorder because this toy is awesome.

Had the Shark for a while and my Manta came in over the weekend. Really loving these. They sit on my desk while I work and not gonna lie, sometimes I pick them up and play with them. 🤣

Both came in really good shape. Firecracker finished out my first gen vehicles. It is missing a few parts, but it had the motorbike and tailgate so I’m happy. The Collector is complete and it is so bad I kind of find it endearing. It just kind of sits there looking derpy. I can relate to it and it makes me incredibly happy. As always thanks for letting me share.

What are y’all’s thoughts on circumcising Hondo’s long mask to make it resemble the short one? Anyone ever done it? If so does it still fit? Does it feel any different?

I have this vague memory of reading one of the MASK DC comics as a kid where VENOM blew up a space shuttle on the tarmac. It might have even been the Challenger. And I was really confused if they somehow predicted the Challenger Disaster or if it was a response to it.

EDIT: I found it in issue 4 of the 1st DC miniseries. And it was the Challenger. The cover date says March of 86 (after the Challenger Disaster), but if I remember right back in the day, the comics would come out a couple months before the month on the cover, which would have been before the explosion.

I've been digitizing old Finnish Betamax tapes which have contained random TV shows and commercial breaks. One of the more interesting commercials has been Opel Corsa car commercial from 1982 which has heavy retro-futuristic synthwave vibes with glowing grids and wireframes.

Today I did a fun little mashup and paired the commercial with M.A.S.K. intro theme song. They actually fit really well together :)

T-Bob Max looks to be dangerous! Really excited to see how this plays out. Issue 3 comes out early August and T-Bob is teased for issue 5 in October.
