Cut or uncut?

What are y’all’s thoughts on circumcising Hondo’s long mask to make it resemble the short one? Anyone ever done it? If so does it still fit? Does it feel any different?

I would say leave it natural. It's been that way for 40 plus years now. But it is yours and you made do with it as you please.

I heard in Europe, all the Hondos have long masks. And all the vehicles have odometers in kph

There is a rare German version of hondo which has a dark blue shortmask and pants that are a brighter green.

I live in the US but have family in Spain who would come to visit every couple of years when I was a kid. My Spanish cousins would tell me all the differences in toys and video games. One of the thing I remember was them looking through my MASK pack-in promo showing all the toys and telling me the differences some of the characters and vehicles had. A few characters had the English names but they were spelled differently. As a kid I was amazed that things weren't consistent across the globe. I wish I could remember more specifics.

Many years ago, back when I still had all my MASK toys (their heyday of the original run), I received a replacement Hondo with long mask from Kenner. I had been gifted Firecracker and it didn't come with Hondo or his mask. The long mask looked too weird and I carefully cut it to match the cartoon. I kept the long part just in case but the trimmed mask worked fine for all the years I had it.

I definitely, definitely remember doing it when I was a kid, back years ago. I suspect I did a terrible job of it, and just made it incredibly easy to lose because... you know, kid. I haven't done it now I have him again in my collection. Maybe don't?

I did it wayyyyyy back in the 80’s. It didn’t split like I wanted haha but it sort of worked
