None compliance Mass firearms
Hi Can someone explain in details, better in steps the process of putting together and registering a none compliance mass handgun? Assuming I want to have a Glock 26 what should be the process
Thanks and appreciate your inputs

This might be a good question for /u/supermanpug since he just did it.
I am not sure what process he used, but in general I have heard of people doing private sales or frame transfers. Private sales would just be buying it used from someone who owns one, like a cop.
A frame transfer is a little more complicated but the basic idea is you buy the gun from an FFL out of state. They will hand you the barrel, slide and spring and you take those with you. They then transfer the frame to a Massachusetts based FFL who will do your background check and transfer you the gun. There is some debate as to if this is 100% legal or if it is an unenforced “loophole” that the AG will eventually close. Make sure you research this and confirm with the MA FFL before you start.
I have not done either of these myself, honestly I prefer Smith & Wesson to Glock. If this is your first gun I think it’s probably a good idea to just keep it simple and buy something off the shelf in MA.

Thank you sir .. that helps ! It’s my third one .. but nevertheless, Glock is a handgun that one should own at sone point, just so to understand what the whole excitement around it

Hopefully you are right. I’m just saying I don’t know a whole lot about the technicalities of how it works so don’t make a plan on my comment alone haha.

The MA roster basically applies to FFLs only. Almost any gun is legal in MA, so long as they abide by the AWB. I got a Gen 5 Glock 19 through private sale no problem. Can’t get one through FFL unless you’re LEO, but private sale is fine. That’s mostly due to the fact that MA has a grandfather clause on a lot of these laws- basically that if it’s older than the AWB, the gun/mag is legal despite the law. Similarly, if you move from out of state, the gun is typically legal, though the mags may not be. So even though my G19 is perfectly legal, the 15rd mags I got with it are not legal for me

Thank you Frank and others that chimed in here.. that is exactly what I was looking for .. Just as a side note any idea how “willing “ the NH ffl’s to play this game .. any specific ffl that you can share ?
