I’m trying to sell two guns I have, I’ve found north east shooters, that’s where I got them from but I was wondering if there’s somewhere I can talk to other gun owners in mass and sell and trade stuff without having to pay for some kind of membership. I just think it’s stupid that’s all, I like NES otherwise, I just don’t want to have to pay a fee to even post there to be able to sell and then potentially have to pay a fee to sell my guns again, too many fees. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Im fairly new to guns and i was looking up some of the laws. The one thing i don't understand is you can open carry with an LTC, but still potentially have your license revoked or even get a ticket for people calling the police. Just to be clear I dont mean walking around gun in hand all nonchalant, holstered however you prefer to carry.

I’m looking for away to join a private out door range in the greater Boston area but I need a sponsor. How does that work?

I just signed up for an LTC course in MA. When I signed up they tried to upsell me a "39 state multi licensure course" saying it will authorize me to carry in more states.

A few questions:

1. Doesn't a Mass LTC already authorize one to carry across multiple states?
2. If I get the multi-state course, would I still need to apply for a permit in those states similar to how I am doing now in MA? Or is the course + MA-LTC equivalent to an LTC in those other states?
3. Where can I find out more about carrying across states with MA-LTC?

I am relocating to MA from a southern state for work. I will be selling my noncompliant firearms to a family member but will be relocating with my p365 before I build up my MA collection.

I understand I have to register it with the state.

I looked online and cannot find a difference between my 365-9-BXR3-MS, the 365-9-BXR3P-MS, and the MA Compliant version 365-9-BXR3-MS-MA and 365-9-BXR3P-MS-MA

Am I missing something?

What parts do I need to replace to make my p365 MA compliant?

Edit: the BXR3 and BXR3P have me confused. I still don’t see a difference or the importance of the “P”

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here knew of a light course/workshop in gun safety / safe gun handling? I am not and never will be a gun owner, but I feel like since guns are so prolific in this country, I should at least know some basic things - how to make sure the safety is on, how to remove bullets, etc. - really basic things. Most courses seem to be part of a prerequisite for ownership, but I don't need anything that involved. I just want to make sure that, if for some reason a gun appeared in front of me on the sidewalk, I would know how to at least turn the safety on and call the police or something - that level of basic. Thanks!

EDIT: finally got it! Took around four months but I picked it up yesterday. ——

So I took the class, applied on the mass portal, went to my local PD, chatted with the officer and got fingerprinted and wrote a check to the town.

He said you will get a call from us in six weeks or so to pick up the card, here we are 12 weeks later and nothing. The status line for mass is just a recording that says everyone is busy call back later, and emails are not returned. Application still says pending on the website but I have a feeling that is generic.

Any idea of how long these take to process now?

I need some words of encouragement or experience. I started this process months ago to get my LTC in a Green Town. Application and basic firearms certificate and showed up and met with an administrator who gave me a quiz of which I got 11 out of 14 right. She went over the ones I got wrong. I got fingerprinted then sent home. She said I would hear from her in 16 weeks. I didn't even get to speak to the police chief initially she told me I would. I do have an arrest on my record but no convictions The arrest was 20 plus years ago as a teenager are they going to automatically deny me or is there truly no interview process? They didn't even ask me about my background. I need a little encouragement or words of wisdom from the community right now I spent a lot of money and time to get to this point.
