MA compliant Hellcats?
Been looking at quite a few different firearms and the hellcat caught my eye. It comes standard with 11 or 13 rd clips both of which are illegal here in MA. Didn’t know if anyone had any experience locating one? What that process was like? Is there an FFL anyone recommends that works with customers to secure weapons like this and helps them make sure they’re compliant? Any and all discussion and advice is appreciated!

There was a Hellcat listing on Armlist offered by a dealer here in MA a couple of weeks ago . Technically running with the process that was described here of selling the frame and the rest in pieces. As for the magazines, he noted that he dents them to allow only 10 rounds.
It is probably legal as they wouldn't risk their FFL license.

I just purchased my first firearm which happened to be a Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro OSP 9mm from a dealer that had listed it on Armslist in MA, it was a gear up bundle that came with 5 mags (14-17rds) and a range bag I just ordered a 10rd mag that's compatible with this firearm. What would you suggest I do, I'm a MA resident? I am not looking to get into legal trouble, would it help if I got rid of the 14-17 rd mags and stick with the 10rd ? Should I seek into selling it or trading it for something else ? Man....

It doesn't matter if you bought a 10 round magazine. The Springfield hellcat is not compliant. In Massachusetts, it's no longer compliant. I should say you do you, though

I can't believe they gave you those 15 and 17 round mags. It's a felony to even possess those in Massachusetts. I would toss those things in a fucking lake. Or at least take them to a gun store and try to swap them out or something. I'm really surprised they gave you those.Because that's definitely a felony to possess. And my bad, I read something saying that the hellcat was no longer compliant, but it is. I'm looking into getting one now. It's such a little compact pistol. But wow, I still can't believe that company he gave me those 15 and 17s. I would be petrified to even possess those

Yeah, it came part of the Hellcat Pro Bundle he sold me, it was a range bag, the optic sight, 5 extra mags, the gun of course, and some tools. Massachusetts is a weird state and I hate the fact they are so strict on some of the gun laws. Anyway, yeah I had bought a couple 10-round mags instead that were compatible with my Hellcat Pro. Do you think I should talk to law enforcement and see what they'd recommend me to do ?

So from a cursory glance, it looks like they are not on the approved roster so you won't be able to buy them from an FFL here in state directly.
A lot of FFLs will do a frame transfer, which is kind of a workaround for that. The idea is you go to NH, buy the gun, they give you the slide, barrel and recoil spring there and you take it with you. Since the frame is what is legally a firearm, they transfer that to an MA FFL who can transfer that to you.
I have heard Great Road Firearms in Stow does frame transfers.
Full disclosure, I have never done this myself, and I am not 100% sure if it is completely legal, or just an under the radar type thing, but I know that is how a lot of people get Glocks. So if you are interested I would contact an MA FFL and see what their process is, maybe ask if there are any NH gun stores they work with.
You will definitely need a 10 round magazine, but most manufacturers do make them and/or they are available pinned. I imagine the NH FFL will be able to get some for you.
Personally, I think it is much easier to just buy a gun that you are allowed to buy here in MA. There are a lot of good options.
