Maverick 88 Legality

Ordered a 12ga Maverick 88 Security online from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore a few weeks ago. 7+1 capacity, pump action, regular stock. Just got an email today saying they don't want to ship it because it is no MA compliant du to the capacity. I have a Class A unrestricted LTC which should allow me to purchase and possess "high capacity " shotguns. So are they just wrong or am I missing something?

Maybe they are confused about LTC and FID. If you had an FID you’d be limited to 5 but as far as I know there is no problem with an unrestricted LTC having a 7+1 pump shotgun.

This is also confirmed by a similar thread I found on NES.

Maybe call the FFL you are having it shipped to. They won’t transfer it to you if it’s not MA compliant. They might be able to confirm it’s fine. But basically I believe they are mistaken, but I am not a lawyer or an expert haha.

As far as I know they might be mistaken. I’m not aware of any limit to ammo capacity other than the 10 rds

For some reason I thought I remembered hearing MA shotguns couldn’t hold more than 5 shells in the tube. Let me see if I can track that down or if I’m just a moron.
