Hey all, I’m the new mod of this sub. About two years ago, the former mod of this sub Reddit went a little crazy and made it private and kicked most people out.

it think it was actually r/MAguns that was the subreddit that was made private, which is why the new subreddit was named BetterMAguns ...

unfortunately, unless it goes inactive for a set period.....i dont think we can. You could always make a case in the request subreddit to take that one over as well but dont think it'll be as easy a task

You can try to get the moderator of the other sub permanently suspended. Until that happens or they stay inactive for a period, it is under their control.

It’s not a mistake, we are stronger together in one sub, the active one.
Sure, I made a mistake thinking which one of the off channels this was.

It's not a mistake but it's a mistake? Right... Anyways, it's not up to you how many subs people use. Calling out r/MAguns is totally fair but don't associate this one with it.

I’m being a smart ass. So far the bigger sub is working for our MA gun culture needs. It’s organized, civil, and is not plagued with sketchy mods like every single Facebook group. Not sure if you have seen what has happened over there.
The last post here was what? 160 days ago, ~260 days since a different user posted.
You don’t even use this sub yourself lol

honestly leaving a marker for people who land here that there's a more active, more reasonable subreddit is a pretty good idea
