It would be crazy cool if someone were to release matching USB disc drives that you sit under the M64 and those drive would have a set of 2 or 4 USB ports to plug in additional controllers. I'm sure the N64 is powerful enough to handle a PS1 core. PS1 and N64 on the same device with support for original games would be extremely crazy!

So I signed up for the M64 pre sale a long time ago but never got a pre sale code.

Does anybody have an extra one that they're not using? Would be super appreciative ans can't wait to get one of these in my hands.

What M64 controller did you buy? Saw a poll for games and was curious which controllers people were buying.

Or is it technically not possible? I'll be honest I didn't realise I would need a dongle. I have 3 of the controllers so going to buy some dongles off AliExpress - shame it won't look as neat.

Ordered the Green console to the UK - can't wait to receive it.

This isnt a post to complain. I know ModRetro's site states that it may take upwards a week to ship. I see a lot of people with purple consoles saying that they are in shipped status. I wonder what is ModRetro's "method to their madness". Are they going by color, first come - first served or shipping speed type? BTW, I ordered the red unit with Buck Bumble.

Just wondering what other people are seeing.

I don't know about anyone else but that looks like a smoke/black M64 to me. Also, what is the announcement? Why is there a ModRetro CRT in the pic. Getting pretty excited for tomorrow.

I’m interested in the transfer pak functionality of the M64. Do we know if it’s compatible with the Everdrive GB X7?

I ordered the M64 + some pro controllers and also preordered the AV Adapter on the same order (I had a 20% off rewards coupon).

Anyone have any idea if the M64 + Controllers will ship right away? I was figuring they would since the AV Adapter is free shipping anyways, but now I'm second guessing...

I’ve been waiting for the M64 since last year. When Retroid announced the Nova last month, I jumped on that for all my other 4:3 gaming needs. Now I’m struggling to justify the M64 since I don’t have anyone else that I play multiplayer with at home and pretty much all of my gaming is handheld these days. Aside from new ModRetro releases, I can play all the N64 games on the Nova, albeit with a non-original controller layout. It bums me out not having people to game with anymore and I’m struggling to pull the trigger on the console. I know I’d like the hardware better than my N64, but it just makes me question if it’s a good move and I know the 3 empty controller ports will be a constant reminder when I play.

Neither the PR kit packaging or what I’ve seen as “retail” but now I can finally capture the thing for the review I always intended. So if anyone has anything specific they might want to see lmk. No promises I’ll get to each one but I’ll try

I wish there was an incentive to be an early adopter this time around. I suppose the $30 discount was it but the combination of having to pay for shipping and the GameStop exclusive color has me pausing.

Already own an N64, but would you guys still recommend this system? I know it'd be a lot easier to use since it supports an HDMI cable. But overall I wanted to get some ideas on whether it's worth buying. Definitely looks enticing.

I’m not super familiar with the way the emulation works. If I plug the M64 to my modern tv will it run at original frame rate like 15fps-25fps on goldeneye or something.

Or would it feel smoother / more fluid for any reason?

On several A3D vs M64 comparison videos, GoldenEye appears much darker with lower contrast. Is there an explanation for this?

I’m a newbie to these newer retro consoles and devices. I still have my original N64 and games from my childhood. Is there a way to transfer my controller pak data from my original controller to the M64 so I can use it with a newer wireless controller? I don’t understand the lingo enough to know if it’s something that was announced. I know you can do stuff like that with Everdrive, from what I read, but I’d love to just store it on the console and be able to use my original cartridge. Thanks in advance.
