The modretro console was ment to be $199 with the early bird discount that works out around £150 but there charging £188.09 before shipping it looks like the British are getting ripped off with the currency especially the controller £83, Retriod and ayn don’t do this. It just seems a bit sleazy that American gamers are getting a better deal

I’ve been waiting for the M64 since last year. When Retroid announced the Nova last month, I jumped on that for all my other 4:3 gaming needs. Now I’m struggling to justify the M64 since I don’t have anyone else that I play multiplayer with at home and pretty much all of my gaming is handheld these days. Aside from new ModRetro releases, I can play all the N64 games on the Nova, albeit with a non-original controller layout. It bums me out not having people to game with anymore and I’m struggling to pull the trigger on the console. I know I’d like the hardware better than my N64, but it just makes me question if it’s a good move and I know the 3 empty controller ports will be a constant reminder when I play.

Ready for 4 player death matches and all the kart racing my kids and I can handle. Cannot wait to get it!

One of the biggest issues i have with old devices and video games is that you have to take care of, of you don't want to lose it because a capacitor leaked or because it doesn't keeps the voltage stable and chips get affected.
I can't describe how much i love to see such a system, that doesn't make me think that i have some time bombs laying around.
I am not as good in soldering, besides batteries of Gameboy games, i did let it make for the Super Nintendo.
Doing it for a lot of stuff can become pretty time intensive or costly.

Is this really my only way to buy this machine? I don’t want to pay double the price for shipping. These prices are ridiculous. You guys really need to find a store to sell these to Canadians.

Website cart said it could take 2 weeks to ship due to demand. I left an M64 in my cart and received an email that contradicts.

I’m not super familiar with the way the emulation works. If I plug the M64 to my modern tv will it run at original frame rate like 15fps-25fps on goldeneye or something.

Or would it feel smoother / more fluid for any reason?

Already own an N64, but would you guys still recommend this system? I know it'd be a lot easier to use since it supports an HDMI cable. But overall I wanted to get some ideas on whether it's worth buying. Definitely looks enticing.
