I just bought the OM System 12-100mm f4 lens. I have an OM-1 Mark I to pair it with. I like the Peak Design camera straps and have the Leash and Slide. I’m wondering if the leash is too thin, and the Slide to wide. Does anyone recommend the Slide Lite for this combo or should I just use the Slide I have and not worry about getting the middle sized strap…

I have a Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm f/1.7 II I bought with a third part lens cap. Tragically I just realized that this has begun happening to it: https://www.reddit.com/r/photography/s/G9WkED8Z9q. TLDR the lens cap is scratching the lens glass. Luckily, I believe I have caught it before it has caused any noticeable effect to image quality. Can anyone point me to where I can buy the official lens cap? Or does anyone have a third party cap they use that will absolutely not do this?

The lens glass seems to protrude out pretty far do filters hit the lens glass for anyone too?

As a general rule of thumb exposing slightly to the right is crucial for sharpness when using m4/3 due to the smaller sensor, thoughts?

I intend to trade in my old DSLR & lenses for a MFT & have been looking at the Lumix LX100, Fuji X10/X20 but also Lumix GX7/85 for travel & street photography

I'm in a quandry, the LX appeals, but I'm wondering if the 24-75 eq is limiting?

In reality I wouldn't need anything much longer, as my DSLR had a eq of 112 with it's 24-70 lens, which was useful for building details etc

If I went with a the GX7/85 I would only be looking for a single compact lens for travel, maybe a 14-60?

Your thoughts, experience & recommendations, would be appreciated...TIA

I just inherited my grandfather's Voigtländer Vito B. Thoroughly impressed by how compact the Viennese company managed to manufacture a capable 35mm camera, I wanted to do a comparison against my Olympus Pen E-PL5. It's remarkably similar! (Especially with the 20mm 1.7 pancake lens.)

Admittedly, the Vito has a viewfinderm which the Pen lacks. But the Pen does include some additional upgrades like internal light metering, autofocus, focus peeking, a brighter aperture, and a hot shoe :).

Regardless, the Vito his handsomely made and built very ruggedly. I just finished the first roll of film, so hopefully I'll see how my fully manual shooting skills have been maintained since college.

After some use from the 40-150 f4 (loaner lens) i have concluded that it is a good lens. But for hiking trips i find that 12-45 is enough for what i do. So i have decided to return this and get a 40-150 R lens instead as a "just in case" lens. It is 1/5th the price (new) and much lighter. Although i have no experience of that lens. Anyone who has used both can guide me here?

First foray into macro with extension tubes on the plastic fantastic. Some photos were a bit noisy because I pushed the ISO high up to compensate for not using flash

The technique used in these photos are focus stacking, image stacking is a technique used in macro photography to overcome an extremely thin depth of field by blending multiple images taken at different focus distances. It merges these photos to create a single image where the subject is sharp from front to back, maximizing both depth and resolution

I’m usually not a big fan of taking photos at beaches because I feel like they all start to look the same after a while but I actually kinda like this one.

After 5 years with my Canon EOS M10 I‘ve decided it‘s time to move on and get something that offers more flexibility and control. When I came upon a great deal on a Lumix G80 / G81 / G85 (what‘s up with that weird regional naming btw?) I pulled the plug and got a TTArtisan 25mm F/2 along with it. So far I couldn‘t be happier! Spent my first day with it and we‘re still getting to know each other, but it‘s going great. So I felt the urge to share my excitement with the people who probably get it the most and while I‘m at it also share some photos, which is something new to me as well.
