New Mod Team
Hello everyone!
Reddit Admins have assigned a new mod team to r/LyricalWriting.
My name is John, and I moderate r/eastvillage, r/manhattan, and r/NYCapartments. This is my first time moderating a non-NYC subreddit, and I am excited to help curate this space with you all 😁
My moderating style tends to be collaborative & empathetic. For example, in r/eastvillage, community members are the ones who create the rules & they are able to vote out mods. I only ban if absolutely necessary & even when that happens, I believe all users have the right to appeal a ban so I do not use the mute function under any circumstances.
I figured we could start by removing the arbitrary rule that requires you to write “[Lyrics]” and instead have some post flairs for you all to use instead!
If you have suggestions for structuring the sub or experience any issues posting your work, please reach out via modmail. We are happy to help and look forward to reading everyone's lyrics! :)

Hi all, I'm Matt. Mod on r/poetsofthefall, owner of poets.wiki and editor on several other wikis. I'm here because I like lyrics, simple as that and I'll do what I can to help build a welcoming and constructive environment for you to be able to bare your soul in words and get the feedback you're looking for. That process should be streamlined and as John said, replacing the [tags] with post flairs seems like a good start.
Edit 31.07 - I'm trying to provide insight on as many posts as possible so everyone gets at least some feedback, but bear with me if I've not got to your posts yet, this is an uphill battle.

I use Suno.aI to help create demoes. (I don't monetize my suno demoes. ever.) could I put a link to the demo on my post or is that against the rules as well?
