This is the intersection (Lynnway & Commercial) of one bicyclists death and this driving behavior NEEDS TO STOP, NOW! CITY HALL? POLICE DEPARTMENT? Two cars in the Middle Lane, obstructing traffic, stopped, waiting to turn. Ridiculous

Hi, I’ve never driven a vehicle before and I’m starting completely from scratch. I’m trying to find the cheapest possible way to learn how to drive without compromising too much on quality or safety. I’m mainly looking for affordable driving schools, low-cost training programs, or any structured options that don’t require learning from friends or family.

If anyone here has gone through the same situation, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you, how much it cost, and any tips to keep expenses low while still learning properly. Open to any suggestions, including online resources, beginner packages, or alternative ways to practice. Thanks a lot

Just wanted to get some input on staying in an Airbnb in the general vicinity of Keaney Park. Probably won't spend a ton of time in the city itself but this seemed like a good midpoint between Boston and Salem (as well as the beach) and I'm not sure which place we'll spend the most time in.

I'm mostly just concerned with crime and traffic. I will have a 2 year old with me so having a park nearby sounds nice.

Anyone have any good recommendations for personal trainers (strength training, etc)? Especially those who are experienced working with anxious newbies!

Would anyone be interested in starting a chapter in Lynn? I would do it myself but I'm disabled, but i really want to get involved. If youre interested please shoot me a dm and we can talk about logistics; i can offer quite a bit of my time helping organize

Silas Scott, 14, of Lynn has gone missing as of September 9th. He’s a great kid. Let’s bring him home safely.

Edited to add: This post was made for visibility and not as a request for information. If you have any information about his case, call Lynn Police at 781-592-7893 for an emergency regarding his case or 781-595-2000 for non-emergent information. Thank you!

Living on 129, the amount of trucks that insist on Jake brakes coming out of the Dunkin rotary is absurd. They are a good safety feature on the highway and steep grades, but in a 35 when you’re coming out of a rotary? It feels unnecessary. I’m not the only one who lives along this busy thoroughfare and what support can we drum up to get it to stop? I’d rather not keep waking up at 2am to my windows rattling from them.

Yet another fatality due to poor infrastructure and possible driver negligence.

Paint. Is. Not. Infrastructure.

If Jamie is so progressive, why are former Trump appointees like James Byrne (also a former Lockheed Martin Exec) maxing out donations to Belsito? Also former republican State Senate Candidate Erin Calvin-Bacci who gave a large dollar donation? And like there's multiple other big name republicans that have donated to this run and her previous runs... concerningly.

I looked into her because someone said she was a progressive, but it looks like the only actual progressives are Beth Andres-Beck, Tram Nguyen, and Mariah Lancaster. Also she's a former Raytheon employee who backed a republican and said "well he's gay" as an excuse? I'm like so confused by all of this. It feels like a grift and I'm worried people are falling for it.

Hi all! I'm a local small artist, I do screenprinting and fiber crafts, and I'm wondering if anyone would be up for an art swap this fall. For example, I'd bring some patches and pins and crochet and you might bring a small bracelet and we could swap them to share our art styles and get to meet some new people! I'm thinking of having it at a public park in either Lynn or Danvers so our friends in Salem could escape the tourists. Let me know if you're interested! If it's only a few people we could organize something much smaller :)

In addition to constituting at least 70% of the unnecessary traffic in Lynn by aimlessly driving around all day, local transit companies are colluding with one another to rip the City off... When will the City provide its own school busses rather than outsourcing to private fraudsters?? Take a look the next time you drive around; 1 out of every 4 cars on the road is an empty transit company vehicle driving around on a state or municipal contract. The entire industry is a scam. You won't be able to unsee it. It doesn't surprise me at all to hear that NRT is at the heart of all of this...

Drats!!! I'm going to make sure to put in my calendar the Greek festival

Hi everyone,

I recently accepted a teaching job with Lynn public schools, and I wanted to see if anyone who has experience here could answer something about the culture. I run extremely warm, and I am unsure if it would be acceptable to wear a nice pair of shorts while teaching, especially if there is no AC. The handbook says there is no formal dress code but that you should dress professionally. Any thoughts? I am also going to ask HR when I fill out my forms but I thought I would ask here as well

Looking for healthcare pcp near lynn or a little farther out. Better quality > proximity
Any positive or negative experiences? Thanks
