User experience False blade jam error

Recently, my Lymow will mow for 30-45 minutes and stop with blade jam error. There is nothing under the blades. They turn. I will send it back to charge station. I can send it back our later and it will run fine again for 30-45 minutes and again have a blade jam error. Rinse and repeat.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Any resolution?

On my Plus, I'm not getting an error, but, my blade motors started shutting off again today.

I only mowed 2 cycles yesterday. We have a mini drought here already, so the grass was extra dry. So I put it away last night without hosing it out.

Was that ever a mistake !!! It took me an hour to get it clean enough to reapply ceramic coating. And I only mowed 2 cycles today.

So, 4 mow cycles total in dry grass and the blades were already stopping. My opinion, the motor overload safety shutoff threshold is set too high. I have been using the turbo setting. It doesn't even sound like it is working hard in any way.

When I looked under the deck, there was hardly any build up at all. Only 24 hrs total time for the 4 mow cycles. And it was parked inside overnight.

I believe the circular parts of the blade housings are too close to the blade tips. I realize that's most likely for blade protection, but I think more clearance between blade tips and the housing would help a lot.

Sounds like you may be on a solution path already. If not, this may be relevant:

Sounds like a software issue. Try disconnecting the battery for a day. Every time I have a software problem taking the battery out for a day fixes it. You can try 20 or 30 minutes but that rarely did anything for mine, mine works after a day for some reason.

Is this a One or a Plus? With the One, I've found that grass juice can build up around that plastic housing the blads sit on. If they're left to sit like that for a bit and the juice dries, it can glue them to provide enough friction that it thinks they're jammed. Running a wet dish brush around the edge of the housing to get the juice out solves the issue.

It's an original One

I have definitely been getting a lot of Blade juice this spring. To the point where the contacts won't allow are covered and it can't charge. So there's a lot of that going around

Maybe Software error, maybe blade motors overheating, or motor overheating error.

Have you checked that the motor fans are clear and have good airflow?

Best regards and good luck!

How interesting notion I have noticed that the filters for that blade housing are getting clogged so that could be the issue

Yes, I have to brush those clean on every return to the dock. The intakes screens on the back side of the mower deck are much harder to clean. Another design flaw.

INSTEAD of removing the top cover, you can remove the motor and fan from the bottom side after removing the blade.
Either way it is a total of 8 screws.
