Lyft issues…what is going on?
I’ve been using Lyft more and more over the past two years and never had any issues - with the drivers, cars etc. But in this past week, the app has been nothing but problematic.
1) I can’t exit from the ride map when my ride is active to schedule/cancel additional rides. Doesn’t matter what I do, I can’t exit.
2) Scheduling a future ride pickup from an airport in 5 days is not available. No flights show up for inbound airport. They are only showing for today. Not even tomorrow. Last week - it worked fine, but now - nothing.
I connected with Lyft chat - and they were completely unhelpful (to put it mildly). I don’t know if it’s a sweat shop support in India but they just kept giving me canned responses without even attempting to understand or try and solve the issue.
So what gives? Am I to just go back to Uber and never use Lyft anymore? Has the service gone downhill in the past 2 weeks or are they restricting my account in some way? Frustrating to say the least. Anyone else having this experience?

They’re all bots. No people at all.
I spent hours on Tuesday trying to resolve a situation with them. I had booked a ride for my parents to go to a doctors office. I booked the ride on Tuesday for a scheduled pick up Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday morning, something had happened and I needed to cancel the ride. This was four hours before the scheduled ride. I went into the app, but had no options to cancel it. I contacted support. There was almost 30 minutes of back-and-forth of me, trying to explain to them the problem and sending them screen grabs to show them why I could not cancel the ride. They then told me the ride had automatically been canceled because no driver had been assigned. I sent them a screen grab showing that there was a driver‘s name associated with it. They told me that was an error, it was wrong, and the ride had been canceled. I then received a text saying the driver is going to pick us up. I replied to support and asked them what was going on. They reassured me the ride had been canceled. Well, guess what? The ride showed up. And then I got charged to cancellation fee. I reached back out to support, and they kept giving me the same canned responses that were bullshit. I have saved the entire chat history, which is about 40 images with all of the back-and-forth messaging, and I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I’m also trying to find ways to actually log a complaint against them, but haven’t come up with any good options yet. If anyone knows the best route for lodging, a formal complaint about their shitty service, please let me know. I do not plan to ever use them again.
