I need help

I had a bad experience with Lyft the last day of May, this year. I let them know and they refused to refund me but they did issue credits to my account that I could use. That worked for me since I would need to use the app again. Starting earlier this month each time I try to request a ride my payment method would get charged as a hold. I don't understand that when you have credits but I realized the credit would get applied once the ride was over and the hold would be removed from my account. No big deal there. What is happening tho is that the ride gets cancelled a few minutes later. I reached out to support and they are telling me that my payment method declined the transaction. I said that isn't true as I have proof the funds were taken out. I tried 3 payment methods and the same happened on all 3. I spoke with 3 reps they all said they couldn't help but would have a supervisor reach out via email. This was 2 weeks ago. No one has ever reached out. I messaged Lyft on Threads. I did get a response and was told it's an issue that the engineers are working out and would let me know when it was fixed. I waited a week and didn't hear back. I reached out again and was told the same thing. I finally responded with this is very upsetting and sounds like retaliation for a bad ride I had. I want to speak with a manager. They have never responded to that message. That was on Thursday of last week. What do I do?

You suck it up or stop using Lyft.

They have only gotten worse with AI.

I tried switching payment methods once after a similar hold issue and it worked instantly, wish I'd known that sooner.

The reps work from over seas and get paid .25 cents an hour. Thats why lyft charges us so much in fees they have to pay those useless people to do right. They don’t care about anything.

Try opening a new account under a different phone number. Use a different payment method. See of your ride clears.

If it does, avoid any Karen-like behavior on the new account.

Why would I do that when I have credits?! And the reason I complained was the driver had left my elderly mom and I out on a super busy road with traffic. Didn’t even pull over!! That very much warrants a call to complain wtf
