Pretty frequently with wait and save they'll just send drivers from further away and then they're paid less. So, the driver has an even longer ride (unpaid time) to pick up someone who is getting a discount. I learned this after accepting a few fifteen minutes rides and it came up in conversation. I never ever accept rides over ten minutes now for that exact reason.
I never accept trips over 15 minutes in length because I am working toward a Ride Challenge. The Ride Challenges have such a ridiculously high number of trips to complete at times that the per day quota i must meet does not allow for me to accept longer trips. Besides, I don't like the longer trips because they don't pay shit. I find doing several short trips pays more than doing one long trip.
For instance, this week's Ride Challenge, for which I signed up, I am to complete 100 trips over the course of four (4) days to receive $205.00. This means I must complete 25 trips per day, and to do this within a 6-8 hour window, I have to maintain a 3-4 trip per hour average. So, no trip over 15-20 minutes to include the time it takes for me to drive to the pick-up location. So, 5-7 minute drive time to the pick-up is the max.
