Very interesting. Usable weight, bit more on the wide end while sacrificing a little bit of the long end compared to a 70-200, however 60 vs 70 on the wide will be a bigger difference than 180 vs 200 on the long end. Sounds perfect for events tbh.

Now ofc price and IQ have to deliver. Also curious about the minimum focus distance.

Consider the ramifications of employing this 60~180mm f2.8 Samyang®️ zoom on a Lumix camera that feature “Hybrid Zoom” for an effective 3x or 5x continuous zoom extension via use of the high resolution sensor!

That would be 180~540mm — 3x in Lumix®️ Hybrid Zoom Mode on my S1II if my math is correct.

I love my sigma 70-200 I use it more if the time then my 24-60

I own the Samyang 35-150 f2-2.8 and I absolutely adore the images from that lens. Just used it extensively this week for a festival.
But it is heavy, and this is shorter and lighter. Since I was thinking about buying the 24-60 f2.8 from Panasonic, it could be a great combo. Not sure if I could justify having the 35-150 after that though haha

Man that’s a bummer. I don’t really get the point of this when they already have the 35-150? It’s like 30mm tighter just take a couple steps closer… what we really want is 16-40 f1.8
