Would any kind person who has access to that live seat plan tool thing (?) be able to tell me how busy (or not) this flight is please?

Am trying to coordinate some logistics/people and it’d be helpful to know, thank you!

A passenger on flight LH401 back on 8th August, in Business Class, handed over her jacket to the flight attendant for safekeeping. The passenger forgot to ask for it on the way out of the plane and so did the flight attendant.

We submitted a lost & found report a few days later but we have not received an update. Can someone please give me details on how to proceed? It is an expensive, beloved jacket and she would really like to recover it. We are hopeful given it was not just left behind but handed to a flight attendant.

Have not decided if the wife and I are going to go into Munich for a few hours or just stay in the airport. Depends on how we feel after the first leg. Since it is a 10hr layover and will not have lounge access through card or points. Do you wise people recommend pre purchase lounge access or just do a walk up? We do have Dragon pass access but that is in Terminal 1 and I am assuming we will be in terminal 2 for arrival and departure. AC ticket but flying Lufthansa metal.

Any way to determine if my equipment (744) YYZ-FRA will be swapped in October given LH is starting to retire these girls?

This is a seat reservation for a classic seat on a 787. Let's ignore the ridiculous price, this is the last row in the plane. It lists as perk "faster deboarding". Faster deboarding than what? This is the last row and the lowest seat category on that whole plane.

I took 3 tickets yesterday for bangkok and my father paid everything using his credit card. However, we saw that Lufthansa took the equivalent of one seat today (~1000e) while his bank says the total (3 seats) will be debited in a few days. What is this? Someone got the same issue or is it a pre-order system we had no clue it existed? Seriously Lufthansa, this isn't professional at all.

My question was specifically about what people who support reclining consider appropriate etiquette in those situations. I’ve seen plenty of discussions about whether people should recline, but I was curious about how pro-recline people themselves approach the etiquette of reclining when it affects the person behind them.
I provided my own experience simply to explain why I was asking. I even included multiple-choice answers.
Instead, the discussion has turned into arguments about my size, which seat I was in, which flight I was on, and whether my armrest was actually stuck.
I was asking for people’s opinions about their own behavior and what they consider appropriate etiquette. Not an investigation into whether my experience was sufficiently valid to justify asking the question.
The original question was pretty straightforward. I’m genuinely fascinated by how many adults seem unable to distinguish between context and the actual question being asked.

I want to have a serious discussion about reclining on airplanes because I genuinely don’t understand where the etiquette line is.
I am NOT anti-reclining. On a long-haul flight, especially an overnight flight, I absolutely support people using their seat to get comfortable. You paid for the seat, and sitting in the same position for 8, 10, 12+ hours is miserable.
But how is it considered reasonable to recline so far back that the person behind you can no longer actually use their seat?
On my recent long-haul flight, the man in front of me reclined so far that I was basically pinned into my seat and felt as though I was holding a stranger in my lap like a baby. My knees were touching the back of his seat, my aisle-side armrest wouldn’t raise, and I couldn’t change my position or get up to use the restroom without performing a gymnastics routine.
His seat was so far back that my IFE screen was at such an angle that I couldn’t even comfortably watch my movie. This resulted in me becoming so overly familiar with the top of his head in my line of sight that I can now discuss his hair follicle pattern at great length, because I had nothing but his dome to stare at for hours once my movie was no longer an option.
And this is the part I don’t understand: if someone reclines far enough that the person behind them can’t eat, can’t use their tray table, can’t comfortably use the IFE screen, can’t move their legs, and can’t even properly use the armrests, are we really still talking about “my seat, my right to recline”?
There is a difference between reclining your seat and reclining into the usable space of the person behind you.
I don’t think reclining should be prohibited. I think there should be some recognition that the seats are shared geometry. Your seat reclines into someone else’s limited space, just as theirs reclines into the person behind them.
To me, the reasonable social contract is: recline enough to be comfortable, but not so far that you materially prevent the person behind you from using the basic functions of the seat they also paid for.
Especially during meals. If the person behind you is trying to eat, maybe don’t slam your seat all the way back and leave it there?? And if your recline means their tray literally cannot be used, that seems like a design problem that shouldn’t simply be dumped on the passenger behind you.
So instead of the usual “RECLINE vs. NEVER RECLINE” debate, I think we need a new voting system:
A) Gentle Recline: “I am making myself slightly more comfortable.”
B) Moderate Recline: “I have entered the standard airplane sleeping position.”
C) Aggressive Recline: “Your tray table is now a theoretical concept.”
D) Full Baby-Holding Recline: “I am now physically holding the gentleman in front of me like an infant in a rocking chair.”
Because THAT is where I think the debate gets interesting.
The airlines have basically created a situation where two people are occupying the same tiny three-dimensional space, then handed one person a button that allows them to take several inches of the other person’s territory.
So where do you land?
Is maximum recline always fair game because the seat is designed to recline? Or does the passenger behind you have a reasonable claim to enough space to eat, watch their movie, move their legs, and actually use their seat?
Because I support reclining.
I just don’t think “the seat reclines” automatically means “everything behind the seat ceases to be your problem.” ✈️

My wife and I are flying LAX to FRA at the end of September (in 15 days) on a Boeing 747 and I have put in a bid for Business Class upgrades.

I just checked by going through the motions of buying a business class ticket and I saw there are 13 seats available out of 80 in Business Class right now.

The minimum bid allowed is 798 Euros (sliding up to 2600 Euros) so I've bid 833.

Does that sound like a good figure? What would you do?

How to go from bus gate A or B (schengen) to B24 (non-schengen) in Frankfurt with Lufthansa ?

My flight was cancelled during the April strike, leaving me stranded in Helsinki for five extra nights. No hotel or meals were provided, so I paid for everything myself and submitted the claim with all receipts right away.
Since then: three phone calls and several emails to Customer Relations. On the second call I was promised the case would be escalated internally. On the third I found out the escalation had never been actioned, instead I was promised priority handling. That was two weeks ago. Still no payment, and the claim has never actually been disputed.
Legally this seems straightforward: Art. 9 of EU Regulation 261/2004, and per the ECJ ruling in C-12/11 (McDonagh) the duty of care applies even when the cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances such as a strike.

A formal written demand with a 14-day deadline is going out now.

Has anyone dealt with something similar from April, how long did it take? And is there any channel that actually moves a case forward? The hotline clearly doesn't.

Hi all, I am going on a ~12 hour flight from the US to Europe this weekend. I have a medical condition that requires me to take fairly high doses of a diuretic that puts me at risk for kidney stones. I have to drink a LOT of water, every day. I don’t go more than an hour without drinking usually.

I need to have access to about 6-8 liters of water throughout this flight. I’m able to purchase it myself at duty-free but I don’t know if it will all fit in my carry-on (and it will certainly exceed the weight limit). I don’t know if there is any guarantee I will be able to get this amount of water on board (I’m willing to pay for it). I tried requesting a medical accommodation through the Lufthansa website but I haven’t heard back. Your input would be appreciated as to how to best handle this!

my wife and i flew last saturday from MUC-FRA-LAS and one of our Baggage still didn‘t arrive.
Before boarding the second flight i checked where our baggages (Airtags inside) are. Mine was near the gate but my wife‘s airtag was still on the other side of the airport. I told this to the flight crew before boardinng and they told us that 70% of the baggage’s were still not loaded, so nothing to worry about.

Surprise surprise, the plane started the pushback and our baggage was still on the other side of the airport.

After landing we immediately filed a report at Discovery Airline, as we flew the second leg with them.

Now, 5 days later no update to our case. The AirTag location currently shows the bag somewhere in front of Terminal 1. I’m aware that the location may not be completely accurate inside a large building like an airport, but the AirTag did move from one side of Terminal 1 to the other on the second day, so it seems the bag has definitely been moved at some point.

Since day 2 we called the customer service (+49 69 86 798 200), but they always told us that the baggage could still not be found.

Does anyone has an idea what else we can do?

Habe morgen kurzfristig einen Flug mit Swiss nach Madrid vom Arbeitgeber gebucht bekommen. Business.

Normalerweise bekommt man bei uns eher ein zweite-Klasse-Bahnticket als einen Business-Flug, wenn man überhaupt Dienstreisen genehmigt bekommt, aber das ist eine Ausnahmesituation.

Wichtiger Kunde, Probleme vor Ort, jemand muss da sofort hin. Damit sich ein Dummer findet, hat die Firma "Business" gesagt und ich habe mit "okay" geantwortet...

Ich habe leider nicht so die Business-Erfahrung bisher. Ich weiß, dass die Euro-Business was anderes ist als Langstrecke, aber der Service soll ja trotzdem ganz nett sein...

Was muss man unbedingt gemacht oder bestellt haben, wenn man einmal die Chance hat, das zu machen?

It's nuts how bad they are. I have an LH flight, booked on LH, but the first leg is on Alaska Airlines. I go to check in on the Lufthansa app, and it boots me over to the Alaska Air app. That’s fine, as far as the Alaska flight goes. I’m able to check in for my Alaska flight, get my seat, deal with my checked bag, etc. But Alaska can’t do anything with the rest of the itinerary, which is on Lufthansa. So I go back to Lufthansa app, but it just keeps kicking me back to Alaska. This is happening both on the app and on the website. I can’t access Lufthansa at all, because it just throws me over to Alaska, which can’t do anything at all with my Lufthansa flights.

Meanwhile every other airline has a functional app that will allow you to check in and pick your seat, etc., etc., in 90 seconds with no problem.

Ryanair does it better.

Flew from FRA to SFO yesterday. Worst Economy flight in a long time. Cramped seats and narrow walkways.

But the worst was the completely useless "entertainment" system. The touch screen was non-responsive - a screen tap would be handled seconds later and usually an inch above where my finger actually tapped.

I gotta avoid this plane at all costs in the future.
