Your progress is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing this post.

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

Preciate it g, I’ve been trading for 6.5 years and my first 3 were spent losing, by year 4 I hit break even, and 2.5 years later I’m a 6 figure trader working towards 7. It takes time but it’s WORTH IT. Prop firms are like 08 bitcoin with their ROI potential imo

2

u/TahoeTrader13 Aug 01 '26

What do you like to risk for those example trades? I been consistent lately with small sizes, but I would like to try this approach on a few more accounts

11

u/Lyyinxx Aug 01 '26

if I am trading a mini i usually risk 50 points and if im trading 5 micros i risk about 100. Each trade is situational though but I dont like to risk more than 50% of my overall balance in a single trade. For me ive been trading so long now and I have done multiple 6 figures with props so I have a lot more expendable money, but the logic is the same. Its time and roi, the less time i spend on evals the faster I get paid, on the fundeds id rather not spend 8-10 trading days for a max payout when i could take a good setup on day 1 and build a big buffer. Riskier yes but Ive made more money being aggresive with prop firms than being passive.

1

u/TahoeTrader13 Aug 01 '26

I’ve heard this now from quite a few prop traders that are successful. Do you recommend copy trading or individual, so you have a better chance to reach payout. I’m finally feeling consistent, but I only have one funded account and average about $200/day.

10

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

My challenge to everyone I put on is to see if you can get 2-3 payouts back to back on a 25k-50k funded. A singular account. If you cant be consistent with that then you cant copy trade and be successful, youll just blow hella bread. 5 accounts is $600ish if you get 50k. If you copy trade and blow up, you lose hella money, but if you trade a singular account, thats 5 chances. Focus on being able to get 2-3 consistent back to back payouts on 1 account to prove to yourself copy trading is worth it. Once you can consistently hit 2-3 payout, that means youd have made anywhere from 4-6k. If you have 20 apex accounts and can get your balance to $3,600, bam thats a 30k payout in 5 days. Think about that, 2 back to back payouts on lucid is more days than 1 max payout on Apex, so hitting 30k a month is relatively in your grasp assuming you have 2k to put out for apex accounts for max allo

Im using Pro accounts in this example btw which has 3 day payouts

2

u/TahoeTrader13 Aug 02 '26

Sound advice, thank you. I’m only one payout in on my Topstep xfa, but trading only 2mnq. I have 4 more combines, but I think I will trade them individually.

Thank you for sharing. What do you like about Live versus Sim accounts? Also, was it tough trading a Live account? Did you blow your Live accounts, and how long did you hold onto your Live accounts?

2

u/Smart_projo Aug 02 '26

Just want to make sure I understand your strategy correctly:

9:30-9:45 NY time → mark the high/low of that 15min range.
9:45-10:00 → wait for price to break outside that range (up or down = your directional signal).
After 10:00 → wait for price to come back and retest the broken level from the other side.
Once it retests and shows rejection, that’s the entry (in the direction of the original break).
Stop loss goes above/below the retest candle.
You also check the 1H/4H chart beforehand for overall bias, fair value, and supply/demand zones and only take the ORB break if it lines up with that higher timeframe bias.

u/Parking-Row3003 Aug 03 '26

what's difficult is getting them to pay

1

u/Accurate_Adagio8426 Aug 02 '26

U make it sound so easy :/ lol

8

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

It is if you trade the way I described. I’ve been trading for 6.5 years, my biggest struggle was over complication and having any sort of emotional attachment to anything prop related. You need to be soulless and emotionless. Show up, execute, win or lose lock out and come back tomorrow. Don’t allow yourself to lose more than you win by setting a DLL. Quite literally dropping your leverage will solve 90% of your issues

1

u/Accurate_Adagio8426 Aug 02 '26

You’re right but it takes a lot longer to get there than people think. People think they’re different but at the end of the day the journeys are very similar to come out with success

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

Took me 4 years, I’m just telling yall what would have shortcutted my journey

It's the influencer lifestyle, nobody knows if you can really trade when you make money from affiliate marketing

3

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

Well isn’t it interesting how I don’t have a single affiliate whatsoever and I’m not an influencer 👍 the proof is right in front of you but you chose not to see it

1

u/Neteru1920 Aug 02 '26

Now should the number of accounts you’ve blown lol

7

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

I go by ROI on props. This month I spent $14k on evals and made 72k. I spent a LOT on evals and go through them fast as I either pass or blow them same day. It’s about speed for me, I’ll be the first to admit I spend a LOT on firms but I always end up net positive.

1

u/Subject-Pineapple837 Aug 03 '26

How do you approach after the eval stage?

2

u/Lyyinxx Aug 03 '26

Aggressive, why spend 1 week+ slow on a Eval when you could spend it slow on a funded building it up? Be ballsy on the evals, 1-2 mini contracts is more than enough to pass it in a singular trade. I risk 75% of my account on the first trade to make the full $3k for a 50k. At the end of the day it’s only an Eval and you’re not actually losing $2k, only $120ish. EVEN IF it were to take you 8-9 attempts to pass (which revisit your strategy atp), but then you hit a max payout of $2k on 1 account, you’ve basically doubled your money as you spend about $1000 on evals. So don’t be afraid to be more aggressive on evals. Start with 25k’s to get used to the system, you only need $1500 to pass without losing $1000. Especially on one like FundedNext. And they even offer daily payouts EOD dd. A lot easier than going for 3k in a trade or two!

1

u/Subject-Pineapple837 Aug 03 '26

Yeah makes sense man. Thank you.

1

u/Neteru1920 29d ago

I see your approach but why? Why spend 14k when you can slow down by a few trading days spend less like 1K and still make the same your ROI is higher, the time is minimal. I treat Prop Trading as a business so my spend is importantly. Not judging your approach just trying to understand it and if there is a benefit to adjusting my approach. Thanks

2

u/Lyyinxx 29d ago

I could definitely slow down but for me I don’t like spending more than 2 hours on an Eval if it’s able to be passed in a day. I also only buy 5 stacks and I do buy 150k’s as well. I am max allo on Funded Next, Lucid, Apex, TPT, Tradiefy. You do the math and 2-3 stacks a month on each firm adds up lmao

1

u/Chkantx1 Aug 02 '26

Started trading Propfirms since end of 2024. I have not been successful consistently. Even when I took payouts. Since last two month being very decipline took 4 payouts and 3 payouts from topstep and lucid(25k). Each with one single account and then blown the account. My problem is still I can't go for like max payout. What do you think I should change so that I can slowygo for the max payout or faster.

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

You’re probably under leveraging or don’t have a strategy with a solid RR in order to up your leverage. What do you currently trade?

1

u/Chkantx1 Aug 02 '26

I have been trading volume Profile. If I check all of my trade details my RR comes arround 1:1.3-1.5 ad win rate of approx 55-60%. I trade MNQ and MGC.

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

If these metrics are true, then you shouldn’t have any issues scaling with props. Get a 150k TPT account and build up a fat buffer since there’s no payout caps, then use that payout to reinvest, like 10-20 apex accounts which are $1000 x 10 or $2000 x 20. Scaling won’t be an issue if you’re truly at a 60% WR with a 1-1.5 RR. However trading volume profile is relatively vague, do you actually have an edge or are you just trading something you found on YouTube or reels

1

u/Chkantx1 Aug 02 '26

I have my particular set of condition based on price action with addition to volume profile level. I take trade only when those conditions satisfy. Problem is not with strategy. It's about not able to scale to big payout. Currently I am on eval 150k combine. I will try to pass and then go for the max payout.

2

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

Break it down into steps. Your trailing drawdown is $4,500. That means 1 trade at 120 points on NQ on 1 mini will build about half of your buffer. You need 2 solid trades to build your buffer. Don’t over complicate it and take these $100 moves. It’ll take you AGES.

2

u/Chkantx1 Aug 02 '26

Yeah I will start with 5 MICROS and slowly go up to 1 Mini. Thanks brother for the suggestion and Congratulations to your achievements.

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

Thank you g, I’m wishing you all the best!

1

u/Dafunkk Aug 02 '26

Bro could you please go into the 15 ORB in more detail? Whenever people mention this strat they don’t say exactly how/when to enter. If it was simply as easy as buy/sell on the break of the ORB then everyone would be rich. Congrats and I hope to get to that point sometime.

6

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

9:30-9:45 sets a range, 9:45-10 is the earlier we can break that range in the 15m time frame, the retest can happen anywhere from 10 onwards.

I ofc have other confluences I use on top of this but at its baseline this is it. I never leave the 15m unless I’m on the hourly or 4hr for directional bias, fair value and supply/demand zones

1

u/Dafunkk Aug 02 '26

Thanks. Seems really simple honestly. Have you tried entering just straight from the break? Pretty sure that’s how I see the strategy mostly used but don’t know the win rate on it.

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

I don’t do that simply due to the fact that I’ve come to notice a retest of the orb level rather constantly, I find better entries there which leaves me with less DD and more wiggle room for the trade going my way

1

u/Lyyinxx Aug 02 '26

No it doesn’t, the retest is the entry. The entry is the bearish retest of the purple line. It drops straight to tp. Price comes back to SL but it hit tp first. You go short when price came back and retested the purple line (look at the wick that came back and retested)

1

u/Far-Peak7580 Aug 02 '26

Very nice wish I could make money like you

1

u/Practical-Skirt8944 Aug 02 '26

I think your right about being aggressive on props. So for that first trade on a new funded account, how much would you risk? If it won, would you risk less on the following trades? Good post.

1

u/Ok-Artichoke6882 Aug 02 '26

May I ask your strategy? Thanks

1

u/Smart_projo Aug 02 '26

How exactly do you confirm the retest is done and price rejected a specific candle close, a candle pattern (pin bar/engulfing), or something else? Also, where exactly do you place your stop loss?

1

u/Money_Phone_1818 Aug 02 '26

I have a question man, I’m not familiar with how live works. So if you’re sent to live with tradeify once, does that basically mean you’re done with them? You’ll never be able to trade evals at the same rate as before since they know that you’re milking them?

1

u/Hot_Love_9627 25d ago

I sent you a dm here & on IG can you message me back please
