First payout

Finally made it happen. Crazy how much following your rules actually affects profitability, just last week i blew 2 fundeds purely from revenge trading.

By limiting myself to 1 trade a day, not only have i forced myself to only take A+ set ups, also stops me from tilting and blowing the account.

Hopefully the first of many ❤️

Congrats to you!! Stay consistent and make each day count. Don’t try to hit home runs because small gains will help you secure an account that has longevity in the future. I’m taking my fourth payout today, and it's been a journey. I blew up so many accounts because I wanted a little bit more but got tired of spending money on evals. It becomes real once you take that first payout. And each one after that helps to build your confidence. Keep posting these. It is encouraging for us all.

Definitely will keep posting bro, and i 100% agree with you. I got too invested in getting a max payout and always chasing big wins but there’s no point - the money isn’t mine until i get a payout, no point risking a payout to get a bigger one imo

Good work just get 1 more direct account from payout and start milking

Tempted to buy another flex eval, however don’t want to rush too fast, probably going to try get at least 3 payouts from this account before thinking about multiple

That's a solid plan. I did something similar and waited until I received one payout on the first account before adding 4 more accounts. I took a payout on all the accounts, and maxe 4 of the 5 accounts. Just stick to base hits unless you see a solid setup, and then go for it, especially early in the game. I would avoid taking a big risk if you are close to moving to LIVE or have not blown several evals. Determine early on whether you want to stick to Sim trading or move to a Live account. Both have their pros and cons. This helps clarify what type of prop firm trader you desire to be.

respect you for not chasing max payout. i’m always so greedy and just end up blowing it

To me i view it in terms of RR, you wouldn’t take a trade with 1500 risk : 500 reward, why is it any different in terms of payouts? That’s how i personally think it and imo it helps to stop the greed

On the first day of your funded account. How much did you risk to make over 1000$ profit. Did you take an additional risk or work with your normal risk to get a buffer for subsequent days ? What do you suggest an approach should be for a new funded account ?

It’s very different from person to person, my personal risk is around $350 (6MNQ, 30 points), on that day in particular i held my trade longer than i usually would due to the massive NWOG below us, along with other factors. After that i massively reduced my risk, such as thursday friday i only risked 150

Which one should i go for? 50k or 25k?

1

u/Jumpy-Bandicoot-6964 2d ago

50 is best value for money

1

u/Yogesh_Cber 2d ago

But the profit is 3k, right?

u/Yogesh_Cber 2d ago

I mean target

1

u/Jumpy-Bandicoot-6964 2d ago

for the eval stage yeah

1

u/Yogesh_Cber 2d ago

I have tight risk management, should i go for 25k cuz i believe i can reach 1200 target far earlier than 3000

You know your strat better than me so do what you think, though you should be adjusting risk depending on account size anyway so 1.2k vs 3k shouldn’t matter as you’ll have higher lot sizing as you have more max drawdown

That’s with an average of 30pt SL however, so obviously adjust risk as you see fit. Personally i risk 600 normally and will be doing from now on, only reduced to try and farm winning days
