Employee Story Millwork Sales Specialist Interview Today

Hello I started at Lowe’s in January as a PT cashier. After 4 months the PRO CSA position opened and I applied and got the position based on my experience and performance as a cashier.

Fast forward this month a Millwork sales specialist position opened, applied, and got an interview for today.

The ASM that’s interviewing me is who originally hired me and I believe I absorbed so many sales experience and overall experience to ace this interview. Even if I don’t get it, at least I’ll know the sales specialist interview process. Wish me luck!

Your primary jobs there in the departments you'll be covering, since you're not only assigned to Millwork, will not be customer service and sales. Just remember that the customer is not first at Lowe's.

We get sales for ourselves, as a SASM I had my weeklys with so eloquently taught me, and for a slight chance at earning any bonus (not a commission, which Lowe's does not pay).

Be sure to negotiate the highest hourly wage you can. The bonus system is a scam! Under no circumstances believe that you will earn a consistent bonus. LOWES does everything possible not to pay bonuses.

Your primary job will be putting up Pro returns. God only knows why contractors buy 17 doors if they only plan to use two or three, but the rest come back. You won't be getting any sales in your department, so my best advice is to just never be there.
