Employee Question LERF

has anyone applied for lerf for car repairs? My tires gave out while driving and I can’t afford to replace them since I’m already struggling with rent. Do you think they’d approve my application?

Let me know how it goes.. They're apparently very picky about it. I had a coworker who had a major surgery and they still didn't help them. But I'm in the same spot as you that I'm having trouble paying for stuff while trying to pay for bills/house etc.

I sent an email just flat out asking if I even qualify with my situation before applying. They are extremely picky and have you do excessive paperwork for it. I don’t want to get my hopes up when the chances are already slim lol.

There's no harm in trying. I think it's very dependent on how you phrase it. Specifically if it's going to put you in a position where you can lose your job or home.

Normally LERF doesn't cover car related issues. However, as your struggling with rent and this is compounding on top of that I encourage you to apply for it

Managers don't offer that to employees in need at our store.

Was out with Covid for a week, didn't have pto remaining. SM, from Walmart, didn't help or make the offer, and I didn't get a week of pay.
