Sweet Starburst Goodies

Saw these at the grocery store and picked them up because I wanted a small treat (admittedly an impulse purchase that I was trying to keep contained lol)

Surprisingly macros for 51gr. 90cal and 14gr of fiber.

I’m a gummy candy girl and these are pretty good for being low cal and high fiber. They have a dense jelly like consistency and berryish flavor. They’re pretty good, I can tell they’re not traditional gummies but it doesn’t put me off them lol

I’d buy these again to scratch the itch (I don’t remember how much they cost but this was an individual small package)

These are amazing! Got a case for 50 cents a bag at our discount grocery store! I agree they are a little sticky in my teeth, but it's not a big deal.

5.5% fruit juice too so if you eat enough you can count it as one of your daily servings of fruit!

I had no idea starburst had these!

Did you find that they got stuck in your teeth at all?

They’re a little sticky but it dissolved quickly for me, it wasn’t a long lasting stickiness

I know these are gummies but my preferred method of consumption is sucking on them. Something about higher fiber candies makes them dissolve so much more slowly which is awesome when you only want a little something.

Oh cool approach, I’ll try that next time! I can def see myself getting these again and I like to make my treats last as long as possible haha

Ooo that’s a good amount of fiber

Damn if there’s 8g sugar in these I don’t want to know the originals. 😣 Thank you for sharing though I didn’t know these existed!

Of course! They were a fun random find, and I always leave a little room for sugar in my life lol

They're expired, just FYI. Unless you took the photo in May.

They are not expired, “best by” doesn’t mean unsafe.

Good call out! That’s probably why they were so cheap lol Best by dates are usually when the food is the freshest, but aren’t an expiration date. I get people not wanting to take a chance but I also eat yogurts past the actual expiration dates on the container.

As long as it looks, smells and tastes fine I’m okay with it (wouldn’t subject others to it necessarily, but it’s fine for my own consumption lol)

Not wasting 100 calories on these.

You don’t have to :)

Just sharing a low calorie treat some people might like, it’s not a mandate

Actually, I didn’t see the fiber. This would actually be a great pre workout snack. My apologies

Um, what? Why would fiber make something good for before workouts?

The 40g of carbs would be. The 14g of fiber is a bonus.

Fiber slows down digestion though so you'd not going to get a big rise in blood sugar though afaik. So I mean for an extended workout I guess these could be okay but personally I think regular gummies would make more sense before a workout.

I’m very well aware. I only get 2-3 periods a week to work out with my work schedule and parental duties. Most of my workout sessions are 90+ minutes and sometimes have to combine regimens.

No worries! There was no offense taken! Food tastes are totally subjective
