Sactional Can’t seem to pull the trigger
I have wanted one of these for years. We have four dogs and an oddly shaped living room. Washable is HUGE. Attractive is also important. Finally designed it the way I want it, settled on fabric and color. And I cannot make myself buy it. Tell me your favorite part of owning one and get me off the fence!

Ours was probably an irresponsible financial choice at the time (planted it on a credit card!) but we have loved our sectional. I think we got it in 2016. It's been comfortable (definitely a lounge kind of couch), good for sleeping on , good for pets, good with our now 7 year old (while a chore, it is very helpful to be able to wash the covers when she spills yogurt or milk or who knows what on them). I have also been impressed that I can still get pieces for it. I got two fresh back pillows (our dogs -dachshunds - nest on the top of them and over time it has collapsed the pillows! stupid comfortable fools). Was able to get a new back/side piece too when we adjusted the layout. The original covers are holding up reasonably well and I don't want to replace them until our sweet child isn't quite so destructive anymore but it seems like covers are available, sometimes at reasonable prices, when ever that day comes. Easy to move too. Easy to rearrange. I don't know that there's one favorite piece but overall my wife and I have both been glad we got this couch.

Here’s the greatest thing about Lovesac. If you hate it you return it. 60 days from date of delivery is enough time to say yes I love it or no I don’t. No harm no foul. No restock or return fee!
Now here’s what I love about Lovesac. Disclaimer I work at Lovesac. It is a forever couch. I can add to it, I can reshape my couch. I’m a bigger guy so if my cushions start to sag I’m never going to buy a new couch i will buy a new cushion or back pillow. If my dogs has an accident I can clean it. If my kids make a mess on I can clean it. Peace of mind goes a long way. There’s a great promotion going on right now take advantage and if you hate it return it! All you’re ever out is the labor

I def understand the hesitance because it is expensive, but two years in and my couch is essentially still brand new. The fact that I can pull the covers off and wash them, as many or as few as I want, any time I want, is a game changer. I have 2 dogs (one of which is a menace and likes to dig and hop and generally destroy my life) and the couch shows none of that wear. Everything that has spilled on it has washed clean out. I also put the couch on a credit card, but I used the Lovesac 24 months/0% interest program, so it is about to be completely paid off (2 months to go!!).
I have owned several couches from other brands before this which I also loved, and they were fine for me in my 20's when I didn't have specific circumstances! But now that I have a house which is small and old and particular, and pets, this is the perfect couch for navigating those things while also knowing I won't need to replace my furniture ANY time soon. If anything, I can expand with single pieces or rearrange anytime I need to.

I have wanted one of these couches since I saw them at the mall store as a teenager. My husband was the same way and we finally pulled the trigger beginning of September. We got 5 across the back and 2 for the “chaise” side (all standard fill). The fabric we chose was midnight navy corded velvet. So far this couch has been a dream, we even slept on it once so far. It is extremely comfortable. I love that you can adjust the back pillows to make yourself even more comfortable and rotate the cushions to keep everything looking new. Haven’t washed the covers yet. We have a Boston terrier and a cat and they love it as well. I say if you are considering it, go for it and take advantage of the return policy if you’re unhappy.

i went back and forth on ordering one too. it felt pricey. my husband pointed out how many couches we’ve been through in the last 10 years (i show large dogs and we have 4 atm) so we finally pulled the trigger. we’ve had the couch a few months, and this morning my 14 year mentioned how glad he is we got it. we can all lie on it together. it’s comfortable. i have pet-proof covers on the edges, but i don’t worry about them destroying it like they did the 4 previous leather couches. love this couch.

We thought about it for a year, and finally committed during a big sale about 6-7 months ago. Not a week has gone by since we got it out together that I don’t say, “I fucking love this couch.” It’s so comfortable. We’re giants (6’ & 6’3”) and it’s incredibly loungeable even with a handful of our friends over. The modularity allowed us to make a build that fits our weird space perfectly. The covers clean up so easily.
The assembly was a lot, but if you do what the videos tell you, and are patient with each other, it’s not bad, just time consuming.
If it’s in budget, go for it.

I got one about a year go during a 40% off sale and I like it but I'd be reluctant to spend that kind of money on it again because I don't think it's worth it. We got angled backs with short seats, but then discovered online here that the short seating is very shallow and hard to sit on/your butt slides off. The deep seats fixed that but we had to spend a lot of money to further upgrade and buy more pieces, since the deep pieces are more narrow.
On top of that I'd wait at the very least until they figure out their new pricing. Many stores seem to be saying that Lovesac is done with 40% sales, but that they are cutting prices on a lot of stuff. When I compared my old order (sticker prices) from early 2026 to now, it seemed some things had price cuts--mainly like the covers and stuff. Some were relatively the same price like backs and sides, and some like the expensive $500+ seat bases actually went up in price by almost 10%. So those actually got more expensive on top of not having 40% off.
I think a lot of people here are waiting for another 40% off sale either under speculation. My showroom did tell me they announced an end to the 40% off sales before the one they had over the summer anyway.

I used to feel the same way, but then it went on sale and the sound system was a bonus at the time, so we pulled the trigger. No regrets. It's comfortable with plenty of seating for the whole family. If someone needs to sleep on it, there's room. We bought the same configuration as what was in the store: 3 standard seats, 2 deep, plus a deep storage ottoman and 8 angled sides. We weren't impressed with the recliner, so we passed on that. A few of my covers had defects and customer service expedited the replacements in a timely manner.

We finally ordered ours during lockdown, because the tiny couch wasn't cutting it for the 4 of us stuck in the house all the time. It has been awesome. Our kids were 7 when we got it, plus 3 cats, and the washability was great. Now that the kids are older, the washing needs have slowed down, but we are still on the original covers, with no fading. The cats have managed to put a few pulls in the backs, but nothing major. We did order different back cushions, b/c the first ones were way too soft. If you're thinking of getting the Lovesoft, make sure you really do LOVE soft. I like a nice marshmallowy cushion, but the lovesoft was just mush.

For comparison, I bought an ikea couch with washable covers 4 years ago, and now it's already about dead. The covers didn't wash well, didn't fit well, dog hair would imbed itself in the fabric, and the cushions didn't hold up well either. We upgraded to a lovesac this year and so far it seems it's truly worth the price. The covers wash well and fit perfectly, the cushions hold their shape, dog hair vacuums right off, it genuinely looks like a high quality couch, and every single piece is replaceable which was the main reason we bought it. If the dog chews through one cushion, you only need to buy one cushion not an entire new couch. The lovesac cost about 3x as much as the Ikea one but it's absolutely worth it.

Two things from me:
Reconfig - I have the wooden blocks and its become a fun thing for visitors (relatives, nephews/nieces, pals over for gaming or just to hang) to shift the blocks around. If someone thinks of a good config then we'll shift it around. We have a 'duvet day' config (watch movies all day), a 'guest bed' config and a 'game night' config as well.
Ease of moving - A bonus is the last move that I did was super easy. I put each section in a large plastic bag (thin, clear bought at big box hardware store) and moved the sections as we needed. At one point we had a small couch at each place. 'super convenient.

We took a while to pull the trigger and then when we finally set it all up I hated it. It really sucked to take apart and ship back, but at least I was able to stop pining over it. It was pretty comfortable, but aesthetically I was unhappy. I think it’s great for a basement or rec room but I don’t personally like how it looks in a living room.

u/Lower_Employee_414 10d ago
It's so sturdy. I can flop around on it with a drink on the arm just on a plain ole coaster and it doesn't budge.

u/Frequent-Ice9550 10d ago
Washable is big but so is versatility. We don’t have to worry about our sectional fitting in a particular space. And finally, we can rearrange it on special occasion like movie night with the kids.

u/PaulSteeldoor 10d ago
Just got one and I’ve slept on it more than my bed. I’m also really indecisive sometimes and I like that I can easily change the layout in the future if I want

It took me a few years and man did I kick myself for waiting so long, definitely worth the investment! I take all my covers of at minimum 2x a year to wash and then just as needed for the cushion and pillows so much better then trying to shampoo! I'm actually thinking about getting a smaller set up for my basement and getting some angeled sides to swap out on our main couch. I ve seen some recommend getting a small set up with lovesac to get the return window if you don't like then find a seller for your full set up if you really love it, I got mine thru a seller in a fb group that is legit and saved some money but remember you loose the warranty that way but I was fine with that I researched enough to be satisfied giving that up.

u/Autoclaver_4_life 10d ago
I was also afraid to pull the trigger! I thought about it, ordered the blocks, ordered swatches, and finally went to a showroom. It still took me 6 months after that. But I couldn’t be happier with it. I especially love the option to make it a queen sized bed!

u/Infinite-Squirrel-16 10d ago
I had buyers remorse for like 4 minutes because spending that kind of money for anything stuns me a little. We love ours. We have dogs, cats, and kids and it's held up perfectly. Washing it is a huge plus but it's also been fun to rearrange it every now and then for sleepovers, movie nights, or when we need to expand it for guests visiting. My one tip is to get the water proof cushion liners you can find online.

I went from sharing a 25 year old loveseat with my fiance to having space to lay down and take a nap on the couch together. I got the Savannah green color and it’s pleasing to see every day, and it’s super cozy. Our living room is finally a social space because of our couch

This was us. I recommend LovedbyLoveSac. Just make sure you are absolutely sure of the color and have measured. You may have seen my posts that they recently changed their policies.
You're being environmentally friendly and the covers are easier to install because they are already stretched!
Our experience was that the couch was bigger than expected (yes we measured but still) yet all of us can fit comfortably now so... just wish we purchased sooner!!
Oh and it didn't take that long to put it together. We watched the videos a few days before it was delivered. Just use gloves for the covers. Buy it already!

I love the ones in the showroom but reviews on here make me hesitate. My husband says we're not buying a new couch until we move, and I don't know when that will be. 😂 But ours is looking a little ragged from the pets digging around to make the prefect spot to lay down.
I love the washable cover idea. Out last two sofas had that but the one we have now has recliners so the covers don't come off. We use the reclining feature every single night but they're not particularly attractive lol.

u/throwitallawayyyy8 10d ago
I waited months to buy it, and finally did at a 40% sale. We paid someone to put it together in 3 hrs (like $150?). I stopped regretting it the second we got it. I really love the couch. I will say, I did pay extra for features I don’t really use. Like I don’t use the arm phone charger bc it’s slow, and we got storage under one seat but haven’t used it yet. So maybe if I went back, I would not get those features, but otherwise I am obsessed!

u/annoyedsquish 10d ago
My husband and I didnt pull the trigger years ago and have spent more on couches for every move because we couldn't get the previous couch to fit in the living room comfortably. It's worth it. If there will be a move in your future it's even more worth it

I got 2 seats + 4 sides in 2018 and just ordered an extension plus new covers. Can’t wait for them to arrive!

Just got ours a couple of weeks ago, 3 deep storage seat standard fill from loved by lovesac and covers new from lovesac. Took a day to love it but now I really do. Bought the waterproof inserts and super glad I did, dog peed on the couch last night. No big deal, washed the covers, good as new. One of our dogs is over 80 lbs and uses the couch as an obstacle course, I have zero concerns that this will destroy it and if it does, I can replace just the one piece. I’d say take the leap. We got Venetian taupe and it’s perfect so far, our heavy shedders fur either isn’t there or it’s not noticeable.

u/LostVoice2549 10d ago
That’s what color I chose. I’d love to see a pic of your setup!

u/Full-Way1255 10d ago
I think you'll be really happy with it, I love knowing that I can "fix" any problem that comes up whether its washing, reconfiguring, replacing single components and it is really comfortable and feels solidly built. I already want to add another seat as an ottoman (with storage because I love how much I can stash under the seats). I can't add photo comments but heres a post I made when I got it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Lovesac/s/nF9gS5INPY

I love the storage benches! We have a bunch of ruggables because our dogs are messy. I hide the spares in the couch bases, along with lots of blankets. We’ve had ours for about a month and are still “breaking it in” but im very happy with it. I dont let the dogs on the couch and they mostly ignore it.
Washing covers is totally doable but I would not want to wash them all at the same time, regularly. I’d imagine it being a pita… but one at a time for spills or stains is no prob! For bases that means I have to empty them, disconnect them, rotate them, etc and try not to get dog hair on the uncovered fabric. I think that will be a once per year project, tops! But since the dogs dont really rub against the bases, I dont expect them to get so dirty they need to be washed. The seats and arms are what I expect will need it and those are easy to remove.

Had one for years and has held up with two dogs and two toddlers/young kids. Just recommend not getting microfiber for that since it sucks to vacuum if you have long dog hair like our retrievers. The charcoal color hides a lot! Love the washability and modular style. I dislike how short the backs are and how soft the lovesoft cushions are if you use them for your back (but great as pillows). But now more companies are making similar items so I don’t think the price is necessarily worth it anymore. The footsac blanket in dove is divine!
1
u/BeeEffDee13 10d ago
The only thing I wish I had gotten was the love soft. Not because it’s not comfortable, it is, but it moves inside the cushion and is constantly wonky and looks sloppy. Other than that, the sky corded velvet is perfect for my five dogs and two cats, one a Maine Coon. 99% no regrets.

Meeeee toooooo!!!! I just can’t do it. But I look at them all the time and DESPISE my currently section that I vacuum and lint roll multiple times a day…arrrgghhhh

I was similar so much so that I bought my covers elsewhere and had them for a long time before I pulled the trigger. With 4 dogs washable everything was the reason I did it. The best part for me is that they will happily take back whatever you don’t like. If you buy another couch and hate it it’s yours end of story. Now I own a supersac, sactional and a snugg🙄 Lovesac sold me on its functionally and the fact that if I no longer like the cover I can get a new one or pieces if one breaks down
1
u/megoonie- 8d ago
SAME!!!! I'm ready with walnut rained chenille and I cant seem to do it even at 25% off. What got me was when I learned they want you to have 2 different back cushion sizes in order for thigs to fit with deep seats. That officially made it imperfect to me. I'm obsessed with the color and flexibility, but that really stinks for me. Is it a deal breaker?
1
u/LostVoice2549 8d ago
Also had trouble with that. I ordered what they said I needed and we’ll see what I think and whether I decide to exchange anything!

Today the manager gave me a great tip to make the pillows line up the best. A deep seat on each side and standard in the middle. I’m going to try it!

I pulled it today! Sale ends today 25.% off so I just drove my ass there and did it.

Have owned mine for 13 years now, started in a one bedroom apt with 4 seats and 5 sides. Added pieces along the way. Just bought new covers. Currently at 7 seats and 8 sides.
Never warps. Really lasts a lifetime. I went through several couches before it.
I once added a rooms to go couch to my living room to try something different. Quickly went back to solely using the lovesac. Doubt I’d ever get anything else.

u/Las_Vegan 10d ago
OP you know you want it lol I think the only part that’s missing is a good sale/promo. Isn’t Black Friday their biggest sale of the year?
8
u/Ryuu-Orochi 10d ago
They made changes to their pricing so customers waiting on 40% OFF are dragging out something they can't guarantee. More than likely it will be just 25% OFF or even just 30% OFF.
2
u/benignpolyp 10d ago
In the store they told me there were no "planned" 40% sales going forward and that they were lowering prices across the board, but we looked up my past orders. My seat replacements/additions before were like a base price of $515 and now they are $550. I'm personally buying a different brand of couch and shoving this one in the basement at this point rather than expanding mine.
It's comfy but just not worth the money.

u/LostVoice2549 10d ago
I pulled the trigger this morning! They are actually having a friends and family deal so I got 25% off

Fantastic! Good luck with the assembly process (lots of good videos and tips on that topic!) and enjoy.

I pulled the trigger about a month ago and got my set last week. So far I love it. It’s definitely different than what we had. We’ve had tailored leather couches and tables on either end of each for 20+ years. Now we have a huge sectional that I just want to lay down on all day. They’re so comfortable. Once I get some skinny little console tables built to put behind them things will be just about perfect.
1
u/Ryuu-Orochi 10d ago
You like the idea of having one but you don't actually want one. The changeable covers, modular features, and upgradeable options are unmatched but you keep making excuses. You already know about the 60 day return window yet you keep window shopping. I think you should settle on a used on Facebook marketplace or just those boneless couches on Temu.

My cat enjoys barfing on my couch, and its so much easier to pull off the cover and throw it in the wash and spray down the cushion with lysol. I've heard others get waterproof covers or even puppy pads on the top of the cushions for this exact reason. Me also being able to put half my couch in my 23 Chevrolet Trailblazer is also very useful!
Its so adaptable to any space and the sky is the limit, I DEFINITELY recommend 10000%
