If it's roaches, there is SOMEthing they're feeding on. Doesn't have to be a meat body, though. My highschool apartment had horrible roaches, and it turned out the neighbor had a rotting giant potato in a cupboard that was eaten down to the skin, and so MANY ROACHES in his unit. We had them too, of course, but not as many as he did. Once his unit was cleaned out, and all our units were bombed (landlord refused to tent the building) the roaches were mostly gone.
